摘要： A method of separating and purifying a spent solvent generated in a nuclear fuel cycle and containing a phosphate and a higher hydrocarbon is disclosed. This method comprises treating the spent solvent at a temperature not greater than the freezing point of the higher hydrocarbon, but not less than the freezing point of the phosphate to freeze selectively the higher hydrocarbon, and separating a resulting frozen solid mainly composed of the higher hydrocarbon from a remaining solution containing the phosphate in a higher concentration. The remaining solution may further be subjected to low-temperature vacuum distillation to separate the solution into the phosphate and deterioration product thereof.

摘要： A method of melting treatment of radioactive miscellaneous solid wastes wherein, even when the wastes contain various kinds of substances in a mixed state, each of the substances is efficiently induction-heated and the whole of the wastes can be melted quickly. The radioactive miscellaneous solid wastes (15) are charged into a water-cooling type cold crucible induction melting furnace (10) disposed within a high-frequency coil (12). A plurality of high-frequency currents each having a frequency suitable for induction-heating each of the various kinds of substances contained in the radioactive miscellaneous solid wastes are supplied to the high frequency coil (12) to melt the solid wastes by being induction-heated. The high-frequency currents of different frequencies may be simultaneously supplied to a single high-frequency coil (12) or may be supplied to a plurality of high-frequency coils, respectively.

摘要： A laser beam for ultrasonic generation is emitted to a reflector/vibrator to generate an ultrasonic wave, and the ultrasonic wave is transmitted to an object to be inspected. The ultrasonic wave transmitted to the object is reflected at a flaw inside the object, returns to the reflector/vibrator and vibrates it. The vibration is detected using a laser beam for ultrasonic detection to find flaws inside the object. According to the present invention, ultrasonic flaw detection can be made for reflecting materials having corrugations on their surface or having a low reflection factor of light, and for objects made of materials which cannot easily generate the ultrasonic wave by the laser beam. For such materials, the conventional method has not been useful because it adopts the direct application of the laser beam to the surface of the object to generate the ultrasonic wave.

摘要： An apparatus for electromagnetically and rotationally vibrating a rotary body supported by bearings. The apparatus comprises a ring-shaped magnet bipolarly magnetized and mounted on a shaft of the rotary body coaxially, a ring-shaped stator having a coil and adapted to generate a rotating magnetic field by controlling an electric current supplied to the coil, and a frequency-variable vibration power source adapted to supply alternating electric power to the coil in the stator. The magnet and the stator have different magnetic radii and are disposed so as to be opposed to each other in a direction identical with the magnetization direction of the magnet. Thus the rotational exciting force is applied to the rotary body by an interaction of the rotating magnet field generated by the stator with the magnet. This electro-magnetic rotary vibrator can be applied to a damper for offsetting the unbalanced vibration of a rotary body.
