    • PURPOSE: A process for producing silk amino acids is provided, thereby the silk amino acids which can be stably used in foods and medicines can be cheaply produced. CONSTITUTION: The process for producing silk amino acids comprises the steps of: refining the cocoon and raw silk-thread waste; washing the refined cocoon products with water and removing water from them; drying the refined cocoon products; hydrolysis of the dried refined cocoon products; neutralizing the hydrolyzed refined cocoon products; removing color and smell from the neutralized refined cocoon products; filtering the color and smell-removed refined cocoon products; removing salts from the filtered refined cocoon products; concentrating the desalted refined cocoon products; and drying the concentrated refined cocoon products, wherein the neutralization process is carried out by neutralizing the hydrolyzed refined cocoon products to pH 9.2 to 9.3; and reverse neutralizing the neutralized refined cocoon products to pH 7.5.

    • A method for preparing silk tyrosine is provided to recover tyrosine, which is generated during a silk amino acid preparing process, with producing the silk amino acid. A method for preparing silk tyrosine comprises the steps of: (a) hydrolyzing refined cut cocoons with HCl; (b) neutralizing the solution acidified by the HCl using an aqueous solution of NaOH to maintain the pH of 1.5-3.5; (c) removing impurities from the neutralized solution; (d) neutralizing the solution obtained from the step(c) using an aqueous solution of NaOH to maintain the pH of 6.0-8.0; (e) separating a silk amino acid ingredient and a tyrosine ingredient from the solution obtained from the step(d); and (f) dissolving the extracted tyrosine and purifying it.
