    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide medical waste treatment equipment which has the functions of securely sterilizing medical wastes, reducing their volume, and making them harmless, all of which are not seen in conventional techniques, realizes the ease of operation, the low environmental load conditions, and the low treatment cost, and clarifies who bears the responsibility by specifying who has produced the medical wastes as well as who has undertaken the treatment.
      SOLUTION: This medical waste treatment equipment is provided with a press mechanism, and a heat chamber not less than 0.1 cubic meters in volume, which is connected with an air heater and a hot air circulation blower through piping. With the cycle time being set per several hours, it dries the medical wastes to remove the moisture contained within, sterilizes them by heat, presses them to reduce their volume, and cools them to get them hardened. Furthermore, after determining whether or not the medical waste treatment has satisfied predetermined requirements, it clarifies, if only the treatment has been passed, who are responsible for the treatment by means of a manifest pasted at a predetermined position on the cake, bearing the names of the producer and the undertaker.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an apparatus for treating medical waste, which can be installed either indoors or outdoors and in which medical waste can be sterilized perfectly and volume-reduced satisfactorily. SOLUTION: The apparatus for treating medical waste is provided with: a hot press in which a fixed plate having a heating means and a movable plate having a reciprocating and pressurizing means in the position opposed to the fixed plate and a heating means for heating the movable plate; and a cylindrical box which is arranged on the periphery of the fixed plate and has ≥0.1 m 3 volume and in which the movable plate can be made to pass. Medical waste is thrown in the cylindrical box and the thrown medical waste is pressurized, heated, melted, sterilized, compressed and volume-reduced while heating the surface of the fixed plate and that of the movable plate. The volume-reduced medical waste is cooled and solidified by using cooling means arranged in both of the fixed plate and the movable plate. SOLUTION: The apparatus for liquefying plastics comprises a raw material-feeding apparatus, a pyrolysis apparatus for thermally decomposing the plastics, a gas reforming apparatus for reforming a gas generated from the pyrolysis apparatus, a gas-cooling and liquefying apparatus for cooling and liquefying the gas, an exhaust gas-cleaning apparatus for treating a harmful gas included in the gas and an exhaust gas-burning apparatus for burning an unburned gas included in the gas. In the apparatus, liquefaction efficiency is enhanced by installing a weight measuring device to the pyrolysis apparatus, stopping the thermal decomposition solely when the amount of the residue comes to a predetermined amount and automatically discharging the residue to shorten the duration of stopping of the pyrolysis apparatus and enhance the efficiency of the liquefaction.       SOLUTION: In the low-pressure chamber (1) composed of a low-pressure chamber casing (2) which can bear low pressure and a pressure control mechanism (3) for controlling pressure inside the low-pressure chamber casing (2), the low-pressure chamber (1) can be installed in the open air by establishing a cover (7), which in turn interrupts a rain sound and the direct sunlight, around the low-pressure chamber casing (2) and further, the low-pressure chamber casing (2) is installed inside a stand (8) which can be laminated, or the low-pressure chamber (1) can be multistage laminated by establishing a supporting metal fitting (10) in which the low-pressure chamber (1) can be laminated, in the upper part of the low-pressure chamber casing (2).
