摘要： A method for effecting reduction, stabilization and enhancement of fusion of the human cranio-cervical junction, which may be performed in order to relieve mechanical stresses imparted to the spinal cord and brainstem as a result of an abnormal clivo-axial angle, includes steps of achieving the correct craniocervical relationship, of effecting a fusion of a first portion of a bone forming material based structural member to a human cranium, and effecting fusion of a second portion of the bone forming material based structural member to a least one portion of a human cervical spine. Fusion of the bone forming material based structural member to the human cranium may be promoted through the use an osteointegration apparatus that includes a porous ossomeric mesh and a frame member.

摘要： A ground based wind turbine blade inspection system and method consists of a thermal imaging camera configured to detect propagating defects by acquiring thermal imaging data from a wind turbine blade when it is substantially at thermal equilibrium with respect to surrounding air and analyzing the thermal imaging data with a processor to identify thermal effects associated with latent defects caused by internal friction due to cyclic gravitational stresses and wind loads during normal turbine operation. The system permits latent defects to be identified using a ground-based in situ inspection before they become visually apparent, which allows repairs to be made economically while the blade is in place.

摘要： A plastic aerosol container assembly (10) includes a plastic container that has a main body portion (12) defining an interior space and a finish portion (14) that defines an opening. A pressurized aerosol mixture is maintained within the interior space. The finish portion has an inner surface (20) that has an undercut (22) defined therein. An aerosol valve assembly (24) is mounted to the plastic container so that a portion thereof engages the inner surface (20) of the finish portion (14) so as to be retained by the undercut (22). The plastic container is preferably fabricated from material including polyethylene terephthalate (PET). At least one location in the finish portion may be crystallized in order to provide enhanced resistance to stress cracking.

摘要： An aerosol container (10) includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to withstand aerosol pressurization within a range that is about 90-180 psig and a threaded finish portion (14) that is unitary with the main body portion. The threaded finish portion (14) has at least one helical thread (16), a support ledge (18) beneath the helical thread and a secondary flange (20) that is positioned beneath the support ledge. The secondary flange has an outer circumference that is noncircular in at least one location (22), whereby it may be engaged during a capping operation to prevent rotation of the container during capping. A method of making an aerosol container in which a preform is capped before the blow molding process is also disclosed.
