    • PURPOSE: A system for controlling network traffic flow is provided to present a load-distributed traffic flow control system having the functions of an intrusion detection system and a firewall system. CONSTITUTION: A network traffic flow control system(100) consists of an internal interface(110), a mirroring interface(120), a rule inquiry and filter module(130), an address translator(140), an external interface(150), and a communication/management interface. The internal interface(110), connected with an internal network(10), the mirroring interface(120) and the rule inquiry and filter module(130), transmits and receives packets from the internal network(10) to an external network(20). The external interface(150), connected with the mirroring interface(120), the address translator(140) and the external network(20), transmits and receives packets from the external network(20) to the internal network(10). The mirroring interface(120), connected with the internal interface(110) and an intrusion detection system(30), executes a mirroring function for the traffic flow of the whole or a portion of a port so as to transmit only necessary packets to the intrusion detection system(30) from the internal interface(110).

    • A system and method for supporting mobile Internet communication is provided which employs a plurality of Routers and a plurality of Mobile Nodes (MNs). Each Router has a unique communication address. Each MN is associated with a home Retour. Each Router has an associated Mobile Node Location List identifying each MN for which the Router is the home Router and the communication address of a Router corresponding to a current location of each such MN. Each MN is movable from an old location where the MN communicates with the Internet via one Router to a current location where the MN communicates with the Internet via a different Router.     • A symmetric NAT(Network Address Translator) using an STUN(Simple Traversal of UDP over NAT) and a method thereof are provided to make a STUN scheme for solving an NAT traversal problem. A symmetric NAT(Network Address Translator) using an STUN(Simple Traversal of UDP over NAT) comprises an STUN server(30), a private network terminal and a router(20). The STUN server responses information on a public IP address and the first port, requested for making a private network terminal perform session setup with an external network terminal, to the private network terminal. The private network terminal transmits a session setup request message, including the information on the public IP address and the first port of the router, via the private IP address and the second port for setting up a session with the external network terminal. The router extracts the information on the first port of the router itself and the information on the private IP address and the second port of the network terminal from the session setup request message, and forwards the packets, received via the first port, to the private network terminal via the private IP address and the second port.
