    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower structure of a vehicle body capable of enhancing the workability while a pedal does not form any obstacle not only during the maintenance, but also during the assembly of a floor parts after fitting the pedal, and during the maintenance around the pedal.
      SOLUTION: The lower structure of the vehicle body has an arm-shaped pedal device 10 in which its upper part is turn-supported and a tread part 11a of its lower part is subjected to the stroke so as to be brought close to a dash lower panel 4 or a floor panel 5 in the longitudinal direction by the step-in operation of an occupant at the position behind the dash lower panel 4 on a driver's seat 3 side. The pedal device 10 has an evacuation mechanism 25 in which the tread part 11a is displaced in the separating direction from the normal step-in operational position with respect to the dash lower panel 4, the floor panel 5, or a floor tunnel part 2 which is upwardly swollen at the center part in the vehicle width direction.
