摘要： A liquid crystal unit is constituted of a liquid crystal panel having a liquid crystal material sandwiched between two flexible plastic substrates, and a flexible circuit sheet having a TAB chip for driving the liquid crystal. Electrodes for driving the liquid crystal, formed on each flexible substrate, are electrically connected with output terminals formed on the TAB chip through connecting lines formed on a wiring sheet. Furthermore, a thin substrate is constituted of connectors for the electrode terminals of the circuit sheet, interface connectors for electrode terminals of external control equipement, and a printed wiring for connecting them. The liquid crystal unit and the thin substrate are integrally put one upon another to constitute a liquid crystal module.

摘要： A liquid crystal display which has a liquid crystal display panel having a pair of transparent substrates and a semiconductor chip which is mounted on one of the surfaces of one of the pair of the transparent substrates with an anisotropic conducting film therebetween while the element forming surfaces of the chip is made to face the surface of the transparent substrate. By mixing silicone resin particles in the anisotropic conducting film, a light which passes through the transparent substrate and enters the element forming surface of the semiconductor chip can be blocked. Further, the reliability of a liquid crystal display can be improved, even if it is exposed to light.

The liquid crystal display has a pair of substrates (13, 14) opposed to each other via a liquid crystal, a liquid crystal driving IC (7) bonded directly to at least one substrate (13), and a plurality of semiconductor input terminals formed on the substrate (13) for guiding signals to the IC (7). The semiconductor input terminals (21) are connected to semiconductor driving output terminals (6) of a portable telephone via an elastic connector (12). The elastic connector (12) has a plurality of conductive portions arranged with nonconductive portions thereamong and connects opposed terminals electrically by the conductive portions. The adjacent terminals are mutually insulated with the nonconductive portions.
