    • Automatic indicia changer, such as a clock-calendar for displaying months, days of the month, days of the week, hours and minutes, comprises a plurality of series of plates bearing the various indicia, each series being rotatable about its axis under the influence of a ratchet wheel that is moved stepwise by a dog, each step changing the indicia one increment. The dog is swung by a lever which in turn is swung by a rotary cam. The first series of indicia is driven by a motor; while the first series drives the second and the second drives the third, and so on. Thanks to the ratchet wheel and pawl drive, each series of indicia can be manually adjusted without interrupting the automatic drive. Manual adjustment may be effected either rapidly, by turning the ratchet wheel with an external knob, or stepwise by pressing with the finger on a protrusion on the associated swingable lever.

    • A rotary time-indicating plate-type digital display device comprises a rotary minute drum carrying a set of minute-indicating plates and a rotary hour drum carrying a set of hour-indicating plates. A drive system effects continuous rotation of the minute drum to individually turn over successive minute-indicating plates to display the time in minutes and effects intermittent rotation of the hour drum to individually turn over successive hour-indicating plates to display the time in hours. A lower system coacts with the minute and hour drums to effect synchronous turning over of the minute-indicating plate which indicates the 59th minute and each successive hour-indicating plate. An adjusting mechanism is disposed adjacent the minute drum for enabling adjustment of both the minute and hour drums to set the time displayed by the indicating plates.

    • An adjusting mechanism of a leaf-type digital clock comprises a volute cam secured concentrically to the minute-drum frame, an adjusting pawl coming in pressed contact with the peripheral surface of said cam and an adjusting lever which is secured to said adjusting pawl through an adjusting shaft and to which lever is imparted a rotatable bias. When the adjusting lever rotates against said rotatable bias through the pressed contact of the adjusting pawl with the peripheral surface of the volute cam with the lapse of time, one end of the lever catches a pawl protruded on the inner side of the 59th minute-indicating leaf and the other catches the inner side of the hour-indicating leaf, respectively. However, at the moment when the 59th minute passes away, both ends of the lever rapidly release the hour- and minute-indicating leaves to be thereby turned over simultaneously.
