摘要： The invention involves an arrow system having a shaft (504) having a first end (522) and an insert (500) receptive of a standard point (516), the insert being disposed completely within the first end of the shaft. An insert installation tool (640) may be used as part of the invention to facilitate insertion of the insert into the first end of the shaft. The invention further includes a reduced diameter hunting arrow shaft that maintains sufficient spine and weight characteristics. The reduced diameter hunting arrow shaft is receptive of standard or non-standard internal components for increasing arrow penetration and shot accuracy. Still further, the invention includes an arrow tip assembly including a male insert (1000) and a female point (1016) to assist in aligning points with arrow shafts.

摘要： A method for diverting a sailing vessel is disclosed. A watercraft (10) equipped with a harpoon (12) having a hull-piercing head and a tail attached to a cable may swiftly approach the vessel in the aft position. Upon piercing the hull an extraction-preventing means, such as spokes unfolded from the head, latching it in the hull and preventing the harpoon's withdrawal. Via a cable attached to the tail of the harpoon (12) the watercraft (10) may use low-speed high- traction propulsion means such as Voith-Schneider Propulsion (VSP) (16) to pull an divert the vessel at the stern to a desired course. The watercraft (10) may preferably have a combination of lifting hydrofoils (18a, 18b) with propellers (20), and VSP propellers (16) to provide the respective low-traction high-speed and high-traction low-speed modes of o eration.

摘要： An expandable broadhead includes a number of fixed blades cumulating in a point, with each of the fixed blades having a channel for receiving a cammable deployable expansion blade, with the expansion blade having a slot which cooperates with a fixed retaining pin transverse to the channel that cams the deployable blade outwardly when a forward impact shoulder of the deployable blade strikes a target. This moves the blade relative to the fixed retaining pin and thus cams the deployable blade out to an expanded position for maximum blade cutting edge contact to effectuate maximum damage to the target and a quick kill.
