摘要： Applicants have disclosed an adjustable modular trigger assembly, and a related method, to avoid an unexpected firing of a long gun after an unintentional trigger pull. Applicants' preferred assembly comprises: a modular trigger housing, containing every trigger component, designed to be removably mounted within a lower firearm receiver; a trigger pull adjustment screw in a housing wall; and a sear force adjustment screw in another housing wall. During an intentional trigger pull, the shooter's finger pushes against a secondary trigger until it nestles within a slot of a non-coaxial primary trigger. Continued pulling on both triggers causes a sear to fall off a hammer notch and the firearm to discharge. In an unintentional trigger pull or jostling of the primary trigger, hooked protrusions (within the housing) of the second trigger and hammer engage to block the hammer from fully rotating, thereby avoiding discharge of the firearm.

摘要： A roller sear/hammer interface for a firearm. The sear (11) has a roller (17) rotatably mounted between two side plates (16) forming a portion of the sear body (14). As the trigger (13) is moved, a linkage (12) connecting the trigger (13) and sear (11) causes the sear (11) to pivot rearward such that the roller (17) engages a notched surface (22) formed in the hammer (21). This rolling action releases the hammer (21) to strike a firing pin (24) to fire a round of ammunition. When the trigger (13) is released, the sear roller (17) rolls downward into an engaged and locked position within the notch (22) formed in the hammer (21).

摘要： The main objective of this invention is to provide an improved firearm that has a low barrel placement, low trigger travel and proportional sensitivity adjustment. This objective is achieved by providing a trigger assembly in the area that is substantially in front of the trigger (18). One embodiment of the current invention comprises of a hammer means biased to discharge the firearm and latched from discharging by a sear assembly, a sear assembly comprising of a sear-cam block (6), a sear-link (15) and a cross-bar (11) that is serially engaged with one another at two engagement means to mutually latch said sear assembly from actuating said hammer means and a trigger means operative contact with said sear assembly to actuate said hammer means. The trigger (18) has to be released to discharge another round of the firearm. The preferred embodiment of the current invention further comprises onother cross-bar and a means of selecting either one of the cross-bar to be in contact with said-sear link (15) to form a first engagement means and the trigger (18) does not need to be released to discharge another round of the firearm.
