    • The invention relates to gas and petroleum processing, in particular to methods for hydrogen sulphide decomposition and use and for cleaning gas mixtures from hydrogen sulphide. The aim of said invention is to simplify a hydrogen sulphide decomposition process. Said aim is achieved by the inventive method for hydrogen sulphide decomposition associated with the production of nitrogen and elementary sulfur. Said method is carried out in a conjugated chemosorbition and cytalytical mode avoiding the production of energy-saturated molecules S2 of gaseous sulphur in the form of final product. For this purpose, said hydrogen sulphide-containing gas is passed thorough a chemosorbition-cytalytical area at a temperature equal to or less than 200 DEG C, thereby initiating a dissociative chemosorption of the hydrogen sulphide in such a way that hydrogen and surface chemosorbed sulphur-containing compounds are formed. The hydrogen sulphide is absent at the output of the catalytic area. The chemosorption area of a catalyst is saturated with the hydrogen sulphide and said hydrogen sulphide appears at the output of the catalytic area, the hydrogen sulphide supply being stopped and the supply of a regenerating gas at a temperature ranging from a value equal to or higher than a sulphur melting point (110-120 DEG C) to a value less than 350 DEG C being started.
