摘要： Highly specific antibodies directed against immunoglobulin determinants coupled to one or more toxin molecules provide antibody-toxin conjugates which are useful in selectively inhibiting the growth of target immunoglobulin generating cells. The antibody-toxin conjugate consists of an antibody specific for a selected immunoglobulin determinant including isotypic, allotypic or idiotypic variable determinants, coupled to one or more toxin molecules. Anti-idiotype toxin conjugates are provided which have specificity which distinguishes B cell tumor cells from normal B cells. Also disclosed is an antibody-toxin conjugate consisting of anti-IgD A chain. The antibody-toxin conjugate is used as a cell or tumor specific cytotoxic agent directed selectively against those cells expressing the corresponding immunoglobulin to which the antibody portion has specificity.

摘要： Unique antigenic epitopes of IgE (designated ige.bl) which are present on IgE-bearing B lymphocytes but not basophils are described. Monoclonal antibodies which bind to the epitopes are useful to treat IgE-mediated allergy. The monoclonal antibodies, either alone or as cytotoxin-conjugated immunotoxins, can be used to reduce or deplete IgE-producing B cells in allergy sufferers. The antibodies may also have the additional therapeutical effects of clearing IgE from circulation by forming immune complexes. Monoclonal antibodies against the paratope of the antibody can be used to actively immunize allergy sufferers to attain the same results of administering the monoclonal antibody.

摘要： A leukemia lymphoma reactive monoclonal antibody which, relative to normal peripheral blood cells, strongly reacts with one or more leukemia lymphoma cell specimens selected from the group consisting of B non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cells, B chronic lymphocytic leukemia cells, B prolymphocytic leukemia cells, B hairy cell leukemia cells, and B acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells. More specifically, a novel hybrid cell line, designated 2B-4G9, for production of monoclonal antibody specific for a unique cell surface epitope associated with a wide variety of human lymphomas and leukemias is provided. This invention also provides a method for producing the new monoclonal antibody and to diagnostic procedures using the new monoclonal antibody to detect various leukemias and lymphomas. Also disclosed are methods of using the antibody or reactive fragments of the antibody for the treatment of leukemia-lymphoma patients.

摘要： The invention includes human .epsilon. chain transmembrane anchor peptide resulting from mRNA splicing other than the C.epsilon.4 exon, the .epsilon.m1 exon, and the .epsilon.m2 exon. Two new peptides in particular have been specifically identified. These novel peptides are not present in the conventional secreted (and circulating) IgE. These peptides provide antigenic sites for antibody binding. Thus, the invention further includes antibodies to such peptide segments, as well as such antibodies conjugated to cytotoxic agents, and their use in extracorporeal or in vivo therapy.
