摘要： The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for preparing metal-embedded porous metallic-hydride (pmh) compacts capable of with standing repeated hydriding-dehydriding cycles without disintegrating. According to the invention, the finely divided hydridable metal alloy hydride is admixed with a finely divided metal selected from Al, Ni, Cu or other transition metals and charged with hydrogen. The resulting mixture is sintered in a furnace in which hydrogen is introduced at a pressure above the equilibrium pressure to the prevailing temperature, mechanical stress being applied simultaneously. The compacts obtained possess outstanding stability, as shown by the fact that they have remained intact even after more than 6000 cycles.

摘要： A method is described for obtaining a tenacious in situ coating deposition of calcite on the inner surface of water pipes. The calcite coating method according to the present invention has an advantage that it is able to maintain a completely corrosion-free system during the coating, thus assisting the formation of a protective coating of good bonding bonding properties. … The method consists in the incorporation of a reagent selected from the group consisting of alkali metal sulfite and hydrazine, in an amount which is at least the stochiometrically required to deoxygenate the aqueous solution utilized for said coating, which is supersaturated with respect to calcium carbonate having a dissolved calcium and carbonate levels of above 100 ppm. The calcite producing ingredients are supplied to the water stream in quantities supplementing concentrations available in the natural water used, giving the required supersaturation levels by addition of suitable salts. … The calcite coating can be successfully applied to large diameter mains and pipes by utilizing a large recycle ratio. The coating has in particular an improved adherence on the wall of the pipes, when the water is delivered at a flow velocity of above 1.5 m/sec.

摘要： A method and reagent means for the determination of small quantities of chemical compounds in man, animal and plants by a specific binding assay technique. The method involves the utilization of a labelling constituent comprising a conjugate of a labelling substance and a binding component said labelling substance being one or more metal atoms which can be easily determined. The labelling constituents are selected from various metalo organic derivatives or metal coordination complexes. The method is very specific and sensitive and can be successfully utilized for the determination of haptens selected from various groups such as alkaloids, barbiturates, steroids, cannabinoids, vitamins, aminoacids, tranquilizers, sugars, penicillins, etc.
