摘要： An inflatable mattress for supporting patients comprises two inflatable longitudinal tubes (1, 2) extending along the respective longitudinal edges of the mattress and a plurality of inflatable transverse tubes (3, 3'). Each transverse tube (3 or 3') has adjacent its end an aperture (9a), with the longitudinal tube (1) extending through the aligned apertures (9a) at one side of the mattrress and the longitudinal tube (2) extending through the aligned apertures (9a) at the other side of the mattress. The transverse tubes are selectively inflatable in various modes under microprocessor control.

摘要： An inflatable mattress comprising a plurality of layered transverse cells arranged in a side by side arrangement to define a support surface wherein each cell has an upper chamber 2 extending across the width of the mattress, first and second turning chambers 9 positioned under the upper chamber 2 with one on each side of a central axis and apertures 8 formed between the upper chamber 2 and each of the turning chambers 9 and two longitudinal cells each received through a plurality of aligned apertures 8 thereby connecting the transverse cells together. The cells may be arranged to provide alternating regions of pressure and may be formed using welded seams. Inflation of the cells may also be used to turn a patient. Also disclosed is a connector for a pump wherein the connector has individual release modes for when CPR is required and when the device is required to be transported.
