摘要： The present invention relates to an inkjet ink comprising: a) colorant; b) a polymeric binder having an acid number below 200 selected from the group consisting of a styrene-acrylic polymeric binder, an acrylic polymeric binder, an anionic polyurethane binder and combinations thereof; c) water dispersible surfactant; and d) a solvent which does not dissolve an acidified form of the binder, the solvent having a vapor pressure less than 0.1 mm at 25° C. The invention further relates to methods of making using the ink, printing systems and ink sets which use this ink.

摘要： Ink additives that reduce the deceleration of inks containing a polymer, such as acrylate binders, are disclosed. In accordance with the invention, an ink-jet liquid, an ink-jet liquid set, and the method for using the same are provided, wherein the one of the liquids comprises an aqueous vehicle, and a deceleration-alleviating component. The present formulations are used to formulate ink-jet liquids, and more particularly, to provide enhanced drop ejection performance in inks containing a polymer, such as deceleration (rapid drop velocity degradation during continuous operation of the firing resistor), when the liquid contains a deceleration-alleviating agent, such as, an aromatic glycol ether, a polar solvent and a long alkyl chain surfactant.

The composition includes: a) from 1 to 8 weight percent cationic polymer; and b) from 0 to 2 weight percent of at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactant, cationic surfactant and combinations thereof; and c) an aqueous liquid vehicle. Upon overprinting the fixer composition with an ink-jet ink on a substrate, the fixer composition vehicle and the ink-jet ink vehicle form a vehicle mixture on the substrate after which the vehicle mixture penetrates into the substrate, and an ink image is formed on the substrate.

A supply of pigmented ink of a certain color is provided, along with another supply of dye-based ink of the same color. A pigmented nozzle array controllably deposits drops of the pigmented ink of the certain color, while a dye-based nozzle array controllably deposits drops of the dye-based ink of the same color. A region of a media is printed with the color by depositing, as governed by a controller, drops from the pigmented supply and drops from the dye-based supply on different subregions of the region.
