    • A flat fluorescent lamp is provided. In the flat fluorescent lamp, a discharge gas and a fluorescent material are disposed inside a chamber; first and second electrodes covered by a dielectric layer are disposed at the bottom of the chamber; first protruding points are disposed on a first side of each electrode; and second protruding points are disposed on a second side of each electrode. In each electrode, the first and the second protruding points are alternately laid. The first light-emitting region formed between the first protruding points and the first and second electrodes corresponding thereto and the second light-emitting region formed between the second protruding points and the first and second electrodes corresponding thereto are one of the entirely not overlapping and partially overlapping. Further, a driving method for the flat fluorescent lamp and a liquid crystal display device having the flat fluorescent lamp are provided.

    • A flat light source having a main region and an edge region around the main region is provided. The flat light source includes a first substrate, first electrodes, dielectric patterns, a phosphor layer, first phosphor patterns, a second substrate, and a sealant.     • The present invention provides a flat fluorescent lamp (FFL), including a first substrate, a second substrate, a discharging gas, an electrode set, a dielectric layer and a fluorescent material. The first substrate has at least a first cavity and the second substrate has at least a second cavity. The first substrate and the second substrate are oppositely connected to each other, thus allowing the first cavity together with the second cavity define a discharging space thereby. The discharging gas, the fluorescent material and the electrode set are all disposed in the discharging space. The electrode set is interposed between the first cavity and the second cavity and is adapted for providing a discharging electric field mostly distributed in the discharging space defined therein. In addition, a liquid crystal display (LCD) device using such an FFL is also proposed.

    • The present invention provides a backlight module for a light emitting device (LED) chip holder. The backlight module includes a top guide-light board, a bottom guide-light board, a chip holder with an inclined plane thereon, and a light emitting diode chip. One side of the top guide-light board and the bottom guide-light board has a reflective sheet, and the light emitting diode chip is located on the inclined surface of the chip holder, and further the light emitting diode chip is embedded in the bottom guide-light. When the light emitting diode chip emits incident light, the light produces the total reflection on the bottom guide-light board to reflect to the reflective mirror. Then, the light is reflected to the top guide-light board by the reflective sheet, and is emitted out from the top guide-light board to be a light source for the backlight module.
