摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide a print head that is usable in a horizontal printer, that is small in size, that is superior in mass production, that can easily perform discharge control, that is excellent in reliability, and that is excellent in practicality to be writable in a state in which a recording medium is not bent. The print head has a discharge control unit. The discharge control unit includes a heating mechanism and a discharge portion. The heating mechanism includes a heat generation portion provided with a heat generation body and a driver IC that controls heat generation of the heat generation body. The discharge portion includes a discharge electrode disposed in accordance with the heat generation body. In the discharge control unit, the heat generation portion and the discharge portion are insulated from each other.

摘要： To provide an ion generator and an image forming apparatus which control selective ion generation by a voltage lower than the conventional voltage, and are inexpensive and sized as small as possible. In an ion generator which selectively generates ions, ion generation is controlled by temperature control of discharge electrode parts, whereby an ion generator that is inexpensive and sized as small as possible is provided in which discharge electrodes and a dielectric electrode are disposed via dielectrics disposed between these, heating elements are provided corresponding to the discharge electrodes, the temperatures of the discharge electrodes are controlled, and an appropriate high voltage is applied between the discharge electrodes and the dielectric electrode, the discharge of the discharge electrodes is controlled by heating of the heating elements, and generation of ions by discharge of the discharge electrodes can be controlled by a low voltage in response to heating control of the heating elements.

摘要： A discharge control unit controls discharge from a discharge electrode at low voltage, has a high density mounting based on downsizing of the discharge control portion eliminates electric leakage and has excellent discharge stability. The discharge control unit includes: a heating portion including at least one heat-generating body and driver ICs electrically connected to the heat-generating bodies and caused to generate heat by flowing an electric current to an optional point of one heat-generating body or selectively flowing the same to a plurality of heat-generating bodies; and a heat generation portion insulating film covered on at least the heat-generating bodies; and discharge electrodes, to which voltage is applied, disposed at the heat generation portion insulating film so as to correspond to the heat-generating bodies; wherein discharge is carried out from discharge portions of the discharge electrodes selectively heated by the heat-generating bodies.
