摘要： A process for producing urethanes by reacting aromatic amino compounds with aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or araliphatic alcohols and carbon monoxide under conditions of elevated temperature and pressure characterized in that the reaction takes place in the presence of(a) selenium, selenium compounds, sulfur and/or sulfur compounds,(b) aromatic nitro compounds,(c) tertiary organic amines and/or alkali metal salts of weak acids,(d) oxidizing agents of a specified group and, optionally(e) ammonia and/or aliphatic, araliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic amines containing at least one hydrogen atom bound to an amine nitrogen.

摘要： Substantially closed-cell rigid foams containing urethane, urea and biuret groups are produced by reacting an NCO terminated prepolymer with a compound having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms and a molecular weight of from about 400 to about 10,000 in the presence of a catalyst and water by any of the known techniques. The NCO terminated prepolymer is the reaction product of x parts by weight of an at least difunctional polyol having an OH value of less than 100 with y parts by weight of an at least difunctional polyisocyanate. The ratio of x to y is at least 1:10. The product foams are particularly useful as insulating materials.

摘要： Organic carbodiimides are produced by carbodiimidization of isocyanate groups with catalysts of the phospholine type. At the end of the carbodiimidization reaction, the catalyst system is removed by introducing carbon dioxide in vacuo at temperatures of from about 100.degree. to about 250.degree. C. The carbodiimides produced by this process are particularly useful as stabilizers for plastics.

摘要： The present invention relates to dimerization catalysts which are suitable for the dimerization of organic isocyanates by heterogeneous catalysis, wherein the catalysts contain tertiary phosphines adsorbed onto adsorbent, porous carrier materials having a particle size (90%) of 0.1 to 10 mm, a pore volume of 0.4 to 1.4 ml/g, an average pore diameter of 5 to 50 nm and a specific surface area (BET) of 100 to 700 m.sup.2 /g.The present invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these catalysts by the adsorption of tertiary phosphines onto these carrier materials, optionally in the presence of inert solvents.Finally, the present invention relates to the use of these catalysts for the preparation of polyisocyanates containing uretdione and isocyanurate groups by the dimerization and trimerization of a proportion of the isocyanate groups of organic diisocyanates.

摘要： The present invention relates to a substantially anhydrous binder having a self-releasing effect for the production of pressed articles comprising:(A) a polyisocyanate; and(B) a sulfonic acid corresponding to the general formula:R--SO.sub.3 H).sub.n whereinn represents an integer of 1 or 2;R represents an aromatic hydrocarbon radical having from 6 to 14 carbon atoms, an aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 10 to 18 carbon atoms, a cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 6 to 15 carbon atoms, an araliphatic hydrocarbon radical having from 7 to 15 carbon atoms or an alkaromatic hydrocarbon radical having from 7 to 24 carbon atoms; andthe equivalent ratio of the components (A) and (B) is 100:0.5 to 100:20.The invention is also directed to the use of such binders in the production of shaped articles by the hot pressing of a wide variety of organic and/or inorganic materials.

摘要： A mixture of homologues and isomers of hydrocarbons corresponding to the formula ##STR1## in which R represents a saturated, straight-chained aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having 8-15 carbon atoms, which mixture, at 1013 mbar, has a boiling range according to ASTM D 86 of 10.degree.-50.degree. C. within the temperature range of from 270.degree.-330.degree. C. is nitrated, hydrogenated and phosgenated. The product diisocyanate which is liquid, readily soluble, has a lower vapor pressure than TDI, does not tend to crystallize at room temperature and is virtually free of monoisocyanates is a mixture of homologues and isomers corresponding to the formula ##STR2## in which R is as defined above. These diisocyanates are particularly useful as starting materials in the production of polyurethane plastics.
