For printing, the printer driver causes the print setting program to start in accordance with a setting. The print setting program causes set data to be read in from the special setting storage region and displayed. If a data is entered, the program causes the set data in the region to be updated. Therefore, for printing, it is possible to check the set data without doing a troublesome operation.

When the image data is for a plurality of pages, the user selects a desired watermark for each of the plurality of pages.
