A spectrum controller obtains channel information and classifies a number of radio channels of a network as available, partially available, or unavailable. The availability information is sent to a radio resource manager, which can use the information to determine a routing solution. The radio resource manager can request that the spectrum controller perform an access negotiation for a partially available channel. Based on the result of the negotiation, the radio resource manager may re-route information in the network.

摘要： An interference-based metric is used for control purposes in a cellular network, e.g., for controlling association of a user equipment to a cell of the cellular network. The metric is defined as a ratio of a first value and a second value. The first value represents the strength of a reference signal (RS) transmitted by a base station of the cell as measured by the user equipment. The second value represents the strength of interference (IF) at the user equipment. Depending on the metric, a radio access configuration for the user equipment and the cell is controlled. This may for example involve association of the user equipment to the cell, e.g., in the course of a handover process or idle mode cell selection process.

摘要： A fifth-generation wireless communications network includes a server node, radio network equipment and a wireless device. In an example method, a server node receives first user data in response to (i) the wireless device receiving from the radio network equipment information indicating a plurality of uplink access configurations, each uplink access configuration including a random access configuration; (ii) the wireless device receiving an uplink access configuration index; (iii) the wireless device using the uplink access configuration index to identify an uplink access configuration from among the indicated plurality of uplink access configurations, and (iv) the wireless device transmitting the first user data to the wireless communications network according to the identified uplink access configuration. In the example method, further, the server node initiates transmission of second and third user data. This causes the wireless device to (v) receive from the radio network equipment, in a first downlink subframe, a first OFDM transmission formatted according to a first numerology and carrying the second user data, and (vi) receive from the radio network equipment, in a second downlink subframe, a second OFDM transmission formatted according to a second numerology and carrying the third user data, wherein the numerologies have different subcarrier spacings.
