    • A semiconductor device for a keyless entry transmitter has a command data circuit connected to communication terminals for communication with a microcomputer. A memory circuit is connected to the command data circuit for storing rolling code data. A timer period setting register is connected to the command data circuit for storing timer period setting data. A regulator output voltage setting register is connected to the command data circuit for outputting a signal in response to an output signal of the command data circuit. A regulator circuit is connected to the regulator output voltage setting register for outputting an output voltage upon receiving an input voltage and the output signal of the regulator output voltage setting register.

    • An analysis method using a dry chemical analysis element accurately measures change in optical density indicating the composition of a liquid sample without requiring accurate control of the amount and position of the liquid sample dripped on the dry chemical analysis element. A one-dimensional or two-dimensional optical reading apparatus measures one-dimensional or two-dimensional distribution of degree of color reaction for a reacted portion of the dry chemical analysis element. Physical density or activity of a target component contained in the liquid sample is determined based on an integrated value of the degree of the color reaction and the measured length or the spread area of the reacted portion.

    • An automatic frequency control (AFC) circuit receives input signals and generates converted signals by mixing the input signals with a local oscillation signal. An extraction circuit extracts a pilot signal, if present, from the input signals and provides the pilot signal to a switch. A frequency divider divides a frequency of the local oscillation signal output from a voltage control oscillator, and provides the frequency-divided local oscillation signal to the switch. The output of the switch is compared with a reference frequency in a phase comparator which generates a comparison result which controls the voltage controlled oscillator. If the pilot signal is not present, the switch selects the frequency-divided oscillation signal, to construct a phase-locked loop to stabilize the frequency of the local oscillation signal. Alternatively, an AFC circuit includes a frequency divider for selectively dividing a frequency of a pilot signal included in the converted signal. Various frequencies of the pilot signal can be received by altering a division number in the frequency divider.

In the method, a less active replenishing solution is first supplied to the processing tank at the commencement of the present processing operation of the automatic developing machine prior to our in the course of the processing of the photosensitive material, the less active replenishing solution compensating for the deterioration of a developer due to air during the preceding operating period and the subsequent stop period of the automatic developing machine. A normally active replenishing solution is then supplied to the processing tank after completion of the supply of the less active replenishing solution, the normally active replenishing solution compensating for the deterioration of the developer due to the processing of the photosensitive material. Accordingly, since these replenishing solutions are supplied in this manner, the photosensitive material can be stably developed.
