    • PURPOSE:To improve handleability as well as to make an efficient fusion achievable by installing a condenser to be connected in series to a coil with capacity congruous to self-inductance of this coil in the case where a joint is fused to a pipe by imparting high-frequency power to the joint in which a magnetic alloy heater is embedded. CONSTITUTION:In time of pipe joining, a pipe 18 is inserted into a socket 12 of another pipe 16, and a coil spacer 20 is installed on a peripheral surface of this socket 12. In addition, one end of a coil 22 is engaged with one end of a groove 30 by an engager 32a and then the coil 22 is wound along the groove 30 as rotating this coil spacer 20, and the other end of the coil 22 is engaged with the other end of the groove 30 by another engager 32b. In succession, a first connector 48 is installed in one end of the coil 22 like this and the second connector 52 in the other end, respectively, via a condenser 50 with capacity congruous to self-inductance of the coil 22, whereby a joined plane is fused together by heating a magnetic alloy heater 14 suddenly after imparting high-frequency power to these connectors by a high-frequency power supply unit 56.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stable and sure control characteristic which corresponds to a change in the circuit constant of a work coil or the like due to a temperature change, a load change or the like by a method wherein, while the driving current of an inverter is being controlled, the carrier frequency of the driving signal of the inverter is changed so as to follow a change in a resonant frequency including the work coil. CONSTITUTION:The high-frequency output of a full-wave inverter 14 is supplied to a resonant circuit 16 via a transformer 16. The resonant circuit 18 includes a resonant capacitor 21 and a work coil 22, and the work coil 22 guides a high-frequency current to a heater 24 for welding. The current of the resonant circuit 18 is detected by a CT 26, it is input to a microcomputer 30 via a current/voltage conversion circuit 28, and it is fed back to a PLL 32. The output of the PLL 32 is given to one input of an AND gate 40 as an inverter carrier signal, a PWM control signal from the microcomputer 30 is given to the other input of the AND gate 40, and the output of the AND gate 40 is given to an inverter drive circuit 12.
