    • PURPOSE:To provide a structure of spacer for overhead transmission line in which local concentration of high current is prevented even if a fault current flows through an overhead transmission line by reducing the contact resistance between the overhead transmission line and the clamp member of spacer. CONSTITUTION:The clamp structure of a spacer 1 comprises a spacer 1 for holding an overhead transmission line 2 while spacing apart by a predetermined distance, a member 4 having outer peripheral part of semicircular cross-section for gripping the overhead transmission line, and armor rods 5 to be applied to the outer peripheral part of the gripping member 4, wherein the gripping member 4 and the armor rods 5 are made of a conductive member. Protrusions 10 for holding the armor rods 5 and engaging the armor rods 5 with the gripping member 4 at same potential are formed on the outer peripheral part of the gripping member 4 and a buffer layer 8 of rubber, for example, is applied to the outer peripheral part of the gripping member 4.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a bearing box from coming off even in the vibration of a transmission line by forming three or more fitting projections on the periphery of the section, forcedly fitted in a clamp base, of the bearing box. CONSTITUTION:A bearing box 4 is made of two hollow half pieces 4a and 4b and a nut housing recession to contain and hold a nut 5 is made in one end thereof. A half of a spindle insertion hole 8 to insert a spindle 2 is made in each of the half pieces 4a and 4b, which are assembled to complete the spindle insertion hole 8. The spindle 2 is inserted into the spindle insertion hole 8 and the nut-housing side of the bearing box 4 is fitted forcedly and integratedly into a fitting hole made in a clamp base 7a. Protrusions 9 tighten the coupling between the bearing box 4 and the clamp base 7a. According to the invention, two or more protrusions 9, for example, protrusions 91-93 are provided. Thereby the frictional effect geometrically increases and the bearing box 4 is prevented from coming off by vibration of a transmission line.
