    • A technique for operating a radio network node having at least one radio frequency receiver for receiving signals according to a wireless communication standard is described. A method implementation of the technique comprises providing RF receiver capabilities of the radio network node by transmitting a report message comprising report information. The report information pertains to a current RF receiver configuration with one or more current RF characteristics or possible RF receiver configurations with a range of one or more possible RF characteristic. The method also comprises receiving a control message comprising control information, wherein the control information pertain to a control of the current RF receiver configuration. The RF receiver configuration is then adapted based on the control information.

    • The present disclosure relates to a radio network node in a wireless communication network, arranged for controlling transmission of signals from the radio network node, the radio network node comprising a transmitter (10) having a power amplifier (12), the radio network node further comprising: a measuring unit (202), for measuring, on a signal to be transmitted from the radio network node, a level of out-of band emissions, after the signal to be transmitted has been amplified by the power amplifier; a detection unit (204) for detecting a difference, D, between the measured level of out-of-band emissions and a pre-defined out-of-band emission threshold; and a control unit (206) for adapting characteristics of the transmitter based on the detected difference D, such that the level of out-of-band emissions does not exceed the predefined out-of-band emission threshold. The disclosure also relates to a similar method performed by a radio network node.

    • Disclosed is a method for providing ability of tuning resonance frequency in different applications. The method according to the invention at least comprises the step of adding ferroelectric disks in the resonators. Here, the ferroelectric disks have the relative dielectric constants varying according to change of ambient environment. In the invention, since the resonance frequency can vary according to the ambient environment, the tuning range of filters and duplexers/multiplexers having the resonators with ferroelectric disks is large. In addition, the resonance frequency can be changed in high frequency environment according to the invention. So, the invention can be used to improve the size and cost of the filters and duplexers/multiplexers in different applications, especially in low noise environment.

    • Method and radio node(500) for controlling a change of communication mode between transmit mode and receive mode according to a Time Division Duplex, TDD, scheme. The radio node has at least two parallel branches (504, 06) for transmission and reception of radio signals, wherein the branches currently operate in a first communication mode. The radio node obtains one or more indication signals (S1A, S1B) generated by one or more of the branches to indicate that the first mode has been turned off. When it is determined that the first communication mode has not been turned off in a faulty branch, e.g. by not receiving an indication signal in time from that branch,the first mode is disabled in the faulty branch, and/or the faulty branch is reported to a supervision centre (510). Thereby, it can be discovered when one of the branches is misaligned or otherwise faulty and suitable actions can be taken for repairing or replacing the faulty branch.

    • Method and apparatus for controlling performance in a TDD radio node (600) having multiple parallel branches (604, 606) and antennas (604a, 606a) for radio transmission of signals propagating through a transmit chain in each of the branches before emission from the antennas. A signal generator (602a) generates a signal that propagates through each branch, and tapping means (608) taps the signal from each of the branches after the transmit chain. A control unit (610) then determines a timing of the tapped signal from each of the branches, and monitors timing alignment of the branches based on the determined timing of tapped signals. If it is discovered that there is a timing misalignment between the branches which exceeds a preset acceptable limit, a transmission delay can be adjusted for at least one of the branches to reduce the misalignment.
