    • Electrically photosensitive complex cyanine colorant compounds, each comprising two merocyanine moieties joined by a cyanine moiety, are useful in electrically photosensitive materials for photoelectrophoretic (PEP) imaging processes.     • The invention relates to monoazo colorants derived from pyrazolobenzodiazinedioxides of Formula 1: wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen or any non-metallic group, n is 0-4, R3 is hydrogen, acyl, aryl, alkenyl, alkynyl or alkyl, A represents an aromatic heterocyclic ring or an aromatic group of Formula 2: wherein R6 and R8 are hydrogen, alkyl, sulfonic acid, or 1-4 carbon alkoxy, R7 is any non-metallic group, m is 0-3, and R6 and R7, R7 and R8, or, when m>1, two R7 groups can be joined to form a fused carbocyclic or heterocyclic aromatic or non-aromatic ring.     • A color negative film is disclosed capable of producing dye images suitable for digital scanning. With a green recording layer unit coated over a red recording layer unit a red exposure information containing dye image record is created that better matches human visual color perception when reversed to a positive that is red with unsought densities in the same spectral region as the red exposure information containing dye image attributable to blue and green recording layer units subtracted, by (a) withholding colored masking couplers from the recording layer units, (b) employing tabular grain emulsions with average aspect ratios of less than 15 in the green recording layer unit, and (c) placing spectral sensitizing dye in the red recording layer unit that exhibits an overall half-peak absorption bandwidth of at least 50 nm bridging the green and red regions of the spectrum, with absorption at 560 nm being in the range of from 80 to 95 percent of maximum absorption, which is located in the spectral region of from 575 to 710 nm.

    • This invention relates to a silver halide photographic element comprising a support bearing a cyan dye image forming unit comprised of at least one red sensitive silver halide emulsion, a magenta dye image forming unit comprised of at least one green sensitive silver halide emulsion, and a yellow dye image forming unit comprised of at least one blue sensitive silver halide emulsion; wherein the at least one green sensitive silver halide emulsion comprises two absorptance peaks, the first peak being between 515 and 540 nm (short wavelength peak) and the second peak being between 565 and 590 nm, (long wavelength peak) and wherein (a) the ratio of the absorptance peak value of the short wavelength peak to the absorptance peak value of the long wavelength peak is from 0.65 to 1.55; (b) the absorptance minimum between the two absorptance peaks is between 530 and 560 nm; (c) the ratio of the absorptance value at the absorptance minimum to that of the smaller absorptance peak is 0.86 or less; (d) the ratio of the absorptance at 490 nm to that of the highest absorptance peak is 0.60 or less.
