    • An apparatus for removing a clog from a drain pipe, the apparatus having: (a) a container comprising a product chamber; (b) a pressurization assembly in fluid communication with the inlet; (c) a shaft coupled to the container, the shaft comprising a proximal end and a distal end; and (d) projections extending outwardly from the shaft. The product chamber is adapted to receive a drain cleaning composition and the product chamber has an inlet and an outlet. The pressurization sub-assembly has a canister of pressurized fluid and an adapter coupled to the container and including a socket defining a receptacle configured to receive at least a portion of the canister. The shaft has an exterior surface sized for insertion into the drain pipe. The shaft also has a channel that provides fluid communication between the proximal end and the distal end.

    • An improved tram transmission (10) for transferring power produced by a tram motor (54) to a tram crawler chain (66) more efficiently than transmission of prior art. The improved tram transmission (10) includes a motor drive shaft receptacle (12) which is dimensioned for receiving the drive shaft (56) of a tram motor (54). A plurality of cooperating pairs of gears (70) are provided to cooperate with the motor drive shaft receptacle (12) such that the power produced by the motor (54) may be transferred to the crawler chain (66). A plurality of shafts (73) are included to support the gears (70) and are held in place with ball bearings (183). The main shaft (76) carries a hub (158) which includes a plurality of sprockets (166) for engaging the crawler chain (66). A housing (18) is provided for shielding the components (12, 70, and 183) from debris and moisture and for containing lubricant (68) for the gears (70), shafts (73) and bearings (183).

    • An electrically heated container for boiling liquids is provided with a thermally sensitive electrical control including a switch-on-dry protector switch unit directly connected with the cold leads of an electric heating element located externally of the container and in contact with the bottom wall thereof. The protector switch unit includes a thermally sensitive switch means enclosed in a protective housing having projecting terminal pins engageable by a female socket connector. The protector switch unit is mounted on a thermally conductive mounting plate located externally of the container and in contact with the heating element. The plate is enclosed by a detachable base member on the container. A steam-sensitive switch unit is mounted on the protector switch unit and includes a thermally sensitive element arranged to be impinged by steam produced by liquid boiling in the container and mechanically coupled to the switch means of the protector switch unit for deenergizing the heating element.

    • A thermally responsive electric switch for protecting electric motors comprises two sheet metal switch terminal members, one switch member having ear portions deformed around the other switch member to secure the switch members together. An intervening strip of insulation maintains electrical isolation between the two switch members and may be impregnated with adhesive to bond the switch members. One switch member mounts a thermally responsive bimetallic actuator carrying a movable contact and the other mounts a fixed contact. The fixed contact projects through an aperture in the insulation, such aperture registering with an aperture in the switch member carrying the movable electrical contact so that the electrical contacts engage by way of the registering apertures; thus the contacts are disposed in a protected position. Interengaging recesses and dimples may be provided in the switch members to prevent relative rotation therebetween.

    • A conveyor gathering systems suitable for use with a continuous narrow seam mining machine is disclosed. The system is a single continuous conveyor extending from the auger or cutting head to the rear or discharge end of the machine and is particularly useful with a dozer gathering head. Conveying of the mined material is achieved by an endless conveyor comprised of "flight bars" attached at each end to two drive chains. The single continuous conveyor is driven from the rear of the mining machine, may pivot up and down, and makes a very small diameter, 180 degree turn around, at the front of the mining machine adjacent the auger or cutting head. Because the conveying system uses a single continuous system of flight bars, the tensions on the conveyor can be significantly reduced such that the conveyor drive motor can be selected having a work capacity less than one half of other systems.
