摘要： A method for optimizing an engine idle speed in a vehicle having an engine, a motor generator unit (MGU), and an energy storage system (ESS) includes determining vehicle operating values, including at least one of: an electrical load of an accessory, a torque capacity of the MGU, a temperature of the MGU, an efficiency of the MGU, and a state of charge (SOC) of the ESS. The method also includes calculating a set of engine speed values using the set of vehicle operating values, and using a controller to command the engine idle speed as a function of the set of engine speed values. A vehicle includes an engine, an ESS, an MGU, and a controller having an algorithm adapted for optimizing an idle speed of the engine as set forth above.

摘要： A method includes diagnosing a transmission auxiliary pump in a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) having an engine and an auxiliary power module (APM). A predetermined HEV operating mode is detected during which the engine is running, and the pump is cycled between on and off states. An electrical output value of the APM is determined during the on and off states. A control action is executed when the output value exceeds a corresponding threshold. An HEV includes an engine, a transmission, an APM, a battery connected to the APM, and a transmission auxiliary pump. An algorithm diagnoses operation of the pump. The APM includes an algorithm for diagnosing the pump during a predetermined mode during which the engine is running by determining an electrical output value of the APM during on and off states of the pump, and executes a control action when the output value exceeds a threshold.

The catalyst temperature adjustment module determines a catalyst temperature adjustment based on a catalyst temperature during the first DFCO event. The ambient temperature adjustment module determines an ambient temperature adjustment based on an ambient air temperature during the first DFCO event. The APC adjustment module selectively adjusts the base APC based on the catalyst temperature adjustment and the ambient temperature adjustment and controls at least one of the engine airflow actuators based on the adjusted base APC during the first DFCO event.

摘要： A method and system to control transmission shifting in a motor vehicle having an automatic transmission is provided, wherein a command for a transmission up-shift is detected, and, inhibited, based upon operator input, engine speed, and vehicle operating conditions. A fuel cutoff event is immediately implemented, along with electrical energy regeneration using vehicle kinetic energy. Operator input includes monitoring accelerator pedal input, and inhibiting the command for the transmission up-shift when a tip-out event occurs. The command for inhibiting the transmission up-shift is discontinued when an accelerator pedal tip-in is detected, or accelerator pedal position is greater than a calibrated value, or when engine output torque exceeds a torque threshold, or when engine speed exceeds a speed threshold.
