    • A Coin Bank Having Twistable Segments is disclosed. Also disclosed is a bank that has a lockable lid and a plurality of twistable segments, such that when the segments are aligned in the proper rotational position in relation to the throat and base of the bank, then the lid will be unlocked. The bank includes a lid that is hinged and further is defined by a slot formed therethrough for inserting thin objects, such as coins, through the slot and into the bank. The bank also includes a coin detector for detecting when a coin is placed into the slot, and responsively playing sounds perceptible to the human ear. Furthermore the segments are formed from circular rings having artwork or other indexing markings on their outer surface, such that when the artwork or indexing markings are aligned, then the segments are aligned with the non-rotating base, and the lid can be unlocked.

    • The invention is an apparatus (10) for treating inverted nipples and/or the collection of NAF. The invention includes an assembly which creates an airtight seal upon attachment to at least an areola (16) of an inverted nipple (18) and by rotation of a part thereof draws a partial vacuum to apply an outward force to the nipple; and a syringe (26) including a curved longitudinal axis (28), the syringe being carried by the assembly and being in fluid communication with a chamber (24) of the assembly upon attachment of the assembly to at least an areola of an inverted nipple, the syringe including a plunger (30) which is sealed against an inner surface (34) of the syringe and is rotatable to move along the longitudinal axis relative to the chamber which moves the plunger within a syringe body to expel air from the syringe body away from the chamber upon rotation of the plunger in a first direction and to aspirate air from the chamber upon attachment of the apparatus to the breast surrounding the nipple upon rotation in a second direction opposite to the first direction to create a partial vacuum within the chamber to evert the nipple.

    • A catheter-based microwave antenna cardiac ablation applicator has been developed which unlike previously-developed ablation catheters, forms a wide aperture that produces a large heating pattern. The antenna comprises a spiral antenna connected to the center conductor of a coaxial line, and which is insulated from blood and tissue by a non-conductive fluid filled balloon. The antenna can be furled inside a catheter for transluminal guiding. Once in place at the cardiac target, the balloon is inflated, and the coiled spiral antenna is ejected into the inflated balloon. The wide aperture antenna generates a ring-shaped power pattern. The heat generated from this deposited power is conducted through a volume larger than the spiral diameter, ablating diseased tissue. The resultant lesion profile is both wider and deeper than that of either conventionally-used RF catheter-based ablation electrodes, or that of other microwave applicators, and provides greater heating accuracy and controllability.
