    • The invention relates to an assembly for accommodating a probe, especially a measuring probe or a sample-taking probe. The assembly includes a housing, which has a space for accommodating the probe and a first chamber for accommodating a first fluid, with the first chamber being in connection with the space for accommodating the probe or surrounding such. The housing further includes a connecting section, by means of which the housing is connectable with a container or is connected therewith. The container serves for accommodating a medium, a property of which is to be measured with the probe or from which a sample is to be taken. At least a second chamber is provided in the housing for accommodating a second fluid and is arranged between the first chamber and the connecting section of the housing.

    • A method for monitoring sensor function comprises the following steps: repeatedly acquiring data records comprising sensor-specific calibration data; storing the acquired data records comprising sensor-specific calibration data; analyzing changes of the calibration data over time using the stored data records; and determining time or time weighted with a load factor until the next calibration is due, using at least the changes of the calibration data over time. The resulting time or the determined time weighted with a load factor can, for example, be output in suitable form directly after determination, thereby allowing for a long-term planning of calibration, and/or it can be stored as a date or a remaining time. A comparison with a time signal or a count-down of the remaining time allows at the due date to output a request, or prompt, signal, optionally with a desired lead time.

    • The vessel cover has an outer section which engages over a coaxial inner section of the bottom part of the vessel. The outer section has radial bores each of which contains a blocking member in the form of a ball while the inner section has recessed abutment surfaces for each ball. A closure ring surrounds the outer section and when in a locked position, the ring presses the balls against the abutment surfaces whereas in a released position, the balls are allowed to move outwards from the abutment surfaces. The inner surface of the ring pressing the balls against the abutment surfaces is formed by the end surfaces of set screws which are threadably inserted in the ring so that pressure can be exactly adjusted for each ball.
