    • A mounting apparatus for a keyboard of a portable computer includes a keyboard, a base of a portable computer and at least one fastener. The base comprises a sunken receiving portion for accommodating the keyboard therein. A sidewall of the receiving portion forms at least one mounting portion. An underside of the base has a supporting portion corresponding to the at least one mounting portion. The at least one fastener comprises a locking projection and a pair of elastic stands and is movably fit between the at least one mounting portion and the corresponding supporting portion. The stands slidably abut the supporting portion and the locking projection extends into the receiving portion, engaging with a side of the keyboard. Thus the keyboard is secured to the receiving portion of the base.

    • A portable computer includes a cover unit (10) and a base unit (20) connected with the cover unit. The cover unit includes a movable latch member (4), a driving button (50), and a driving bar (60). The driving bar and the driving button are oppositely and slidably fixed to cover unit. The latch member includes a following portion (46). The driving bar includes a driving portion (58) abutting and engaging with the following portion to move the latch member in a straight line. The cover unit is latched to the base unit via the latch members to cover the base unit and unlatched from the base unit via moving the latch member by manipulation of the driving button.

The bracket includes a recess (18), a back plate (16) defining a pair of cutouts (162), and a pair of fixing frame (30) disposed besides the cutouts. Each the fixing frame includes a side panel (322) defining a pair of grooves (322, 324). Each latch member is movably received in the corresponding fixing frames and includes a block (562), and a resilient wall (58) with a protrusion (582) selectively located in the grooves. The battery module is slidably moved into the recess and includes a pair of hooks (74) extending through the cutouts of the bracket to engaging with the blocks of the latch member.
