摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for connecting a shield to an existing tunnel which enables the lining on an existing tunnel to be cut while maintaining a stable condition without loosing its balance, and which enables cutoff of water to be easily and completely achieved after completion of cutting, without water leaking into the tunnel. SOLUTION: When a shield machine 12 having a freely rotating cutter ring 14 with a cutting bit at its end is used to excavate a new tunnel 11 in a direction perpendicular to an existing tunnel 10 and a through hole is formed by advancing the cutter ring 14 at a position proximate to the existing tunnel 10 and cutting the lining on the existing tunnel, a layer 16 of banking material made of concrete or the like with a thickness such that the end of the cutter ring 14 does not protrude into the existing tunnel 10 at the completion of cutting done by the cutter ring 14 is formed in advance on the inner surface of the existing tunnel 10 at the position where the new tunnel is connected with the existing tunnel, and after the lining 10a on the exiting tunnel 10 is cut away by the cutter ring 14, the part of the layer 16 of banking material inside the cutter ring is removed to open the through hole.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a backfilling material which can be forcibly transported passing through a pipeline and does not have any fear to be deteriorated over a long period of time by mixing an A liquid comprising a sand mortar containing a stabilizer and a B liquid containing sodium silicate and a colloidal silica. CONSTITUTION:An A liquid having a high concentration slurry of sand mortar containing a stabilizer is mixed with a B liquid containing a sodium silicate and a colloidal silica in a ratio of 100:5-15vol.% to compound backfilling material 4. Materials used for A liquid have such a ratio as cement 200-300kg, clay and/or bentonite 5-80kg, sand 900-1100kg, water 500-600kg and stabilizer 1.0-12.5kg at per 1m of liquid A. Colloidal silica contains 0.5-50vol.% of a total of sodium silicate and colloidal silica in B liquid. After both liquids A and B are mixed, both liquids being in a plasticized and solidified state are injected and filled between lining and bedrock. According to the constitution, such a backfilling material greatly exhibits the strength thereof in an early stage and as there is no variation in volume even in a state to have variations in the ground water level.

The stabilizer should consist of an organic acid and a water soluble carbonate. After both liquids A and B are equally mixed, both liquids being in a plasticized and solidified state are injected and filled between lining and bedrock. According to the constitution, such a backfilling material greatly exhibits the strength thereof in an early stage and there is no variation in volume even in a state to have variations in the ground water level.

Potensiometers 19 and 20 which turn through racks 15 and 16 and pinions 17 and 18 as the arms 10 and 13 move and an arithmetic mechanism to calculate the space between the plate 1 and the segment 2 by calculation of outputs are provided. Measurement can thus be easily made on optional positions by such a simple constitution.
