    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a human Mad-associating protein gene having an analogue with a gene of a bacterium, a yeast, a nematode, a mouse, a human, etc., in the human gene included in Escherichia coil clone containing various human genes, useful for elucidation of morbid state, diagnosis, treatment, etc., of genepathy, cancer, etc. SOLUTION: This human Mad-associating protein gene is the new one containing a base sequence coding an amino acid sequence of formulas I and II. The new gene having an analogue with a gene of a bacterium, a yeast, a nematode, a mouse, etc., in the human gene is found by synthesizing cDNA from mDNA extracted from human fetal encephalon, adult blood vessel and placenta, forming Escherichia coil clone containing various kinds of human genes by transforming the cDNA using a library and by registering the clone, performing elongation by a deoxy terminator method using a cDNA obtained by culturing the each of clones thereof as templates, and determining a sequence of about 400 based from 5' termianl of the human gene included in the registered each clone. The gene is produced by performing an immunologic screening, etc., from the human cDNA library.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene comprising a human Rho-related protein HP1 gene containing a base sequence coding a specific amino acid sequence and useful for elucidation of morbid state of genepathy, cancer, etc., in which the gene participates and diagnosis, treatment, etc., thereof. SOLUTION: This new human Rho-related protein HP1 gene comprises a base sequence coding an amino acid sequence represented by the formula and is useful for detection of expression of the gene in various tissues, analysis of the structure and function, genetically-engineered production of a human Rho-related protein, elucidation of morbid state of genepathy, cancer, etc., in which the gene participates and diagnosis, treatment, etc., thereof. The gene is obtained by synthesizing cDNA from mRNA extracted from human placenta, assembling cDNA library by using the cDNA and then, cloning cDNA according to a cycle sequence method obtained by adding PCR method to dideoxy terminator method by using a synthetic oligomer nucleotide primer comprising a part of the Rho-related protein HP1 gene.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new gene, a gene coding a specific amino acid sequence, useful for detecting expression in brain tissue, analyzing the structure and function of an expressed product, producing human protein, and diagnosing/ treating genepathy, brain diseases and neuropathy, etc., through analyzing the expressed product. SOLUTION: This gene, which is a new human M6 gene containing a base sequence coding an amino acid sequence of the formula, is useful for detecting expression in brain tissue, analyzing the structure and function of an expressed product, producing human protein coded thereby base on the genetic engineering, and the morbid state elucidation, diagnoses and treatments of involved diseases (e.g. genetic diseases, cancer, brain diseases and neuropathy such as dementia). This gene is obtained by the following process: using a mRNA extracted from human fetal brain tissue, a cDNA library is constructed by conventional means; and using a DNA sequence chemically synthesized based on the information about the gene as probe, the cDNA library is screened.
