    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect displacement with high reliability, by connecting no lead wire to a movable electrode and making said electrode movable corresponding to the displacement of an object to be detected without applying load thereto and taking out output by generating induced output to a fixing side. CONSTITUTION:Fixed electrodes 11, 12 are formed to the outer peripheral surface of a glass tube 13 so as to provide an interval therebetween and cylindrical vapor deposition layers are formed to both sides thereof in the same length. An endless strip like vapor deposition layer is formed within said interval and functions s an output conductive film 14. A movable electrode is a piston 21 and the length thereof extends from the leading end of the conductive film 11 to the leading end of the conductive film 12 and the piston 21 is made freely slidable along the inner peripheral surface of the glass tube 13. An AC signal having 180 deg. phase difference is supplied to each of the conductive films 11, 12 from an AC power source 40 and, when the piston 21 displaces in the glass tube 13 by said signal, the output eo corresponding to the displacement of the piston 21 is generated in the piston 21 and led out from the output conductive film 14 by a lead wire through a condenser 54 having constant capacity.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate the detection of displacement at a desired sensitivity according to the measuring purposes with a simplified alteration of the sensitivity, by providing first and second electrode bodies to detect relative displacement. CONSTITUTION:A first electrode body 10 comprises first and second conductors 11 and 12 arranged apart in the direction of displacement with the electrode surface made up of a plane paralleling the direction of displacement. A second electrode 20 comprises a third conductor 21 with the electrode surface facing both pole surfaces of the conductors 11 and 12 apart at a fixed space. The conductors 11 and 12 are connected to an AC signal oscillating section 40 with the phase difference of 180 deg. to be fed with AC waves with the phase difference of 180 deg.. With such an arrangement, when the displacement of the conductor 21 occurs with respect to the conductors 11 and 12 relatively, the output of the conductor 21 varies in the amplitude in proportion to the displacement.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve accurate dilution of an exhaust gas by a method wherein a part of an exhaust gas is extracted at a fixed ratio with respect to a total flow rate to be diluted and then, the speed of the exhaust gas is intermittently increased up to near a sound speed to adjust an exhaust gas speed distribution containing a drift or the like. SOLUTION: A diesel engine 200 is driven to introduce an exhaust gas discharged to an exhaust gas splitter 10 through an exhaust pipe 205. In the exhaust gas splitter 10, a clearance having an axially symmetrical cross section to a spindle is equally divided in the circumferential direction by a tubular member. The exhaust gas adjusted to an axially symmetric flow runs to a gap of an expanded part 14 to make a circular flow. The flow of the exhaust gas in the expanded part 14 is always turned to a circumferentially uniform flow, reaching a branched pipe part 20. The clearance of the branch pipe part 20 is evenly divided circumferentially by the tubular part in any radial position. Thus, even when a pulsating engine exhaust gas is introduced into the exhaust gas splitter 10, the pulsating flow can be evenly divided and extracted.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a flowmeter to make continuous measurement and, at the same time, to eliminate measurement error from the flowmeter even when a temperature change occurs. CONSTITUTION:The title flowmeter is provided with three fluid containers 11, 12, and 13 which are filled with a fluid to be measured and have the same cross section, a differential pressure gauge AP which can detects the fluid head in each container, and switching means V1-V6 which selectively connect the containers to fluid inlets or outlets and, at the same time, connect any two of the containers to the gauge DELTAP. While the fluid is discharged to the fluid outlet from the first container after the container is filled up with the fluid, the fluid head in the first container is measured with the gauge P by using the fluid in the second container which has been filled up with the fluid as a reference. In addition, the third container is filled up with the fluid during the measurement. Thus the three kinds of operations of measuring process, filling process, and referring process are repeated by successively switching the first, second, and third containers to each other.
