摘要： A nozzle tape covers substantially all of an outlet portion and an electrical contact portion of a print cartridge. At least one hole provided in the portion of the nozzle tape covering substantially all of the electrical contact portion exposes at least one electrical contact formed on the electrical contact portion. When the cartridge is installed in a print device, such as a printer, a partial electrical connection will be established between the exposed electrical contact and a corresponding electrical contact in the print device. The partial electrical connection may be used to convey a signal to an output device, such as a computer. The signal may indicate that the nozzle tape must be removed before the print cartridge will work properly.
