摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To embody a transmission type optical filter which is capable of easily varying a transmission band width and has excellent wavelength selectability. SOLUTION: The light entering from an optical fiber 1a is introduced by a 4-port optical circulator 7 to a fiber grating 6a. Only the light of a certain wavelength band is reflected by this fiber grating 6a and is introduced to a fiber grating 6b by the 4port optical circulator 7. Only the light of a certain wavelength band is reflected by the fiber grating 6b and is introduced to the optical fiber 1b by the 4-port optical circulator 7. The light of the other wavelengths is radiated outside the fiber by nonreflection terminal parts 8a, 8b and is not introduced to the optical fiber 1b. Namely, the reflected wavelength of the fiber grating 6b is adjusted by a wavelength adjusting device 9 and the width of the parts where both reflection wavelength bands of the fiber gratings 6a, 6b overlap is adjusted, by which the wavelength band of the light emitted from the optical fiber 1b is made variable.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chirp variable reflection type optical fiber grating filter in a simple structure wherein the center wavelength of reflected light does not depend upon the variation of a chirp. SOLUTION: On end of a supporting body 2 which supports a reflection type optical fiber grating filter 1 in one body is fixed to a pedestal 3 through a clamp 4 and the other end of the supporting body 2 is fitted to the pedestal 3 through a stage 7 constituted by combining a clamp 6 and two sliders 7a and 7b which are movable in only one direction so that their moving directions cross each other at right angles; the displacement of the stage 7 is provided by a micrometer head 5 and the clamp 6 is moved as it is in parallel with the clamp 4 to impart a strain distribution including linear compression as well as linear elongation to the grating 1a of the reflection type optical fiber grating filter.
