摘要： PURPOSE: To provide the shapes of the crowns of work rolls so that the preferable crowns and shapes of a rolling stock to be rolled can be attained in a rolling mill shifting upper and lower work rolls. CONSTITUTION: A maximum work roll diameter is positioned in a position deviated from the center of a work roll barrel length so that the crowns of upper and lower work rolls 2 and 3 are in the same shape and become in point symmetry each other to the center of a rolling mill. Smoothly continuous curves are composed by the crowns of the work rolls, and a work roll diameter is monotonously decreased toward the ends of the right and the left of the work roll from the position of the maximum work roll diameter. And, the curve is equipped with at least one inflection point or over on either one side of the left or the right or on both sides of them in distances from the position of the maximum work roll diameter to the ends of the left and the right of the work roll. For the curve to be composed by the crown of the work roll, the curve to be composed by continuous sine functions is preferable.

Therein, the stands setting the vertical rolls 11 are shown as the whole stands, but the bending is given with the web rolling and the vertical roll 11 is arranged to at least one set of the stand for straightening the right and left directional bending to display this effect. Therefore, the right and left directional bending of the wide flange beam 1 can efficiently be straightened and the product quality can be improved.

Since the horizontal roll 5 is bisected into the left and right, the interval in the axial direction of the horizontal roll 5 is adjustable even to a wide flange shape steel having a constant outer dimension, the horizontal roll is not necessitated to change whenever the sickness of the flange varies and a great number of rolls on hand are not necessitated.

Then, the plastic deformation of falling is given on the flange 2 of the H-section, vertical bending in the direction of web height is applied and the compressive stress is applied on the fillet part of the H-section.
