    • To reduce the transmission of vibrations from a body frame to a rotary switch, thereby preventing any trouble in the rotary switch and reliably maintaining the function and performance of the rotary switch. A side stand device includes a side stand bracket mounted on the body frame. A side stand is rotatably mounted through a pivot shaft to the bracket, and a rotary switch is provided in coaxial relationship with the pivot bolt through a securing bolt. A sheet is interposed between the rotary switch and the pivot bolt, and a tube and a sheet are interposed between the rotary switch and the securing bolt. The sheets and the tube are formed from rubber members. A cushion member is interposed between an engaging member of an inner rotor in the rotary switch and a locking hole of the side stand. The cushion member is formed from a rubber member.

    • An engine mount for a saddle-seat vehicle includes an upper engine mount operatively connected to the engine of the vehicle. The upper engine mount operatively connects the engine to the frame of the vehicle. At least one connector is provided for connecting the engine to the upper engine mount. The upper engine mount permits substantially free vertical movement of the engine relative to the frame. The upper engine mount includes an outer sleeve operatively connected to the frame. The upper engine mount further includes an elastic cushion arranged between the connector and the outer sleeve. The upper engine mount may further include an inner sleeve located within the elastic cushion for passage of the connector therethrough. The upper engine mount further includes a plate bracket operatively connected between the outer sleeve and the frame. The plate bracket may include lightening holes therein for decreasing the weight of the plate bracket while increasing flexibility of the plate bracket. The upper engine mount substantially reduces or eliminates the transmission of engine vibration to the seat and the rider of the vehicle.

    • A silencer cover adapts to a heat expansion of a silencer even when, for example, the silencer cover has a large size and is attached to the silencer over an area from the front to the rear. A silencer cover is provided for a silencer connected to a downstream end of an exhaust pipe of an engine. The silencer cover is fixed to a fixing support provided to the silencer. The silencer is heat-expanded with the fixing support part fixed as a base. The fixing support part is provided at a front end portion, in a vehicle front-rear direction, of the silencer. With a tail pipe constituting a rear end portion of the silencer, the rear end portion of the silencer is provided with a slide structure in which the silencer cover is slidably supported.
