    • An information processor includes: extraction means for extracting metadata from contents; first storage means for storing a candidate metadata list in which candidate metadata becoming candidates for typical metadata having higher extraction frequencies out of the extracted metadata and a first frequency at which the candidate metadata were extracted are interrelatedly stored; first updating means for adding the extracted metadata as the candidate metadata to the candidate metadata list, thus updating the candidate metadata list; second storage means for storing a typical metadata list in which the typical metadata and a second frequency at which the typical metadata were extracted are interrelatedly stored; and second updating means which, when the first frequency stored in the candidate metadata list is in excess of a given frequency, adds the candidate metadata associated with the first frequency as the typical metadata to the typical metadata list, thus updating the typical metadata list.

    • A process for preparing .alpha.-methylstyrene/acrylonitrile copolymer by suspension or bulk polymerization of .alpha.-methylstyrene and acrylonitrile with at least one member selected from the group consisting of styrene, chlorostyrene, para-methylstyrene, t-butylstyrene, acrylic ester and methacrylic ester in the presence of a difunctional organic peroxide having a 10 hour half-life temperature of 60.degree. to 120.degree. C. and capable of producing a t-butyl radical, at a polymerization temperature of 80.degree. to 135.degree. C. The process produces the copolymers having excellent transparency, heat resistance and strength in a high conversion in a short time.

    • The present invention provides a power supply for a semiconductor light emitting device capable of efficiently modulating and driving a current-driven semiconductor light emitting device. An LED 31, a switching element 32, which modulates and drives the LED 31, and an average current detector 12, which detects an average current flowing through the LED 31, are connected to a voltage source 11. When the LED 31 is modulated and driven by the switching element 32, blinking or light quantity of the LED is controlled, and the LED 31 then emits modulated light. The average current detector 12 detects an average light quantity emitted from the LED 31 and then controls the voltage source to output a voltage so that the average current flowing through the LED 31 can be almost constant. As a result, the average light quantity may be kept almost constant with or without modulation of the LED 31.

    • An information processing apparatus includes a display unit having a first reflective plate and a second reflective plate forming a reflective-plate unit, and a third reflective plate. In addition, a part of the light is reflected by the second reflective plate, is incident on the diffusion plate bonded to the third reflective plate, is efficiently diffused by the diffusion plate, and uniformly illuminates an operation unit such as a keyboard.
