摘要： For providing a recording guidance method to increase an operability of a broadcast receiving apparatus, installing a removable hard disk in addition to an internal information recording medium built therein, within the broadcast receiving apparatus comprises a display portion and at least an install-type HDD 25 and a removable HDD (i.e., iVDR) 26, so as to enable recording of a broadcast program(s), selectively, the recording is conducted into the install-type HDD 25, in substation, if the removable iVDR 26 is not inserted therein when executing the recording programmed onto the said removable iVDR 26, as well as, displaying a message on the display portion, for prompting to insert the iVDR. Or, a message is displayed, for prompting to insert the iVDR, on the display portion, if the iVDR is not inserted into the apparatus when conducting the recording program into the iVDR.

摘要： A program output control apparatus includes a storage area of program information which stores program information, and an output controller which controls an output of the user-desired program corresponding to the user desired channel and display operation of the program information. The program information includes two or more pieces of program data corresponding to two or more broadcasting programs. Each of the pieces of program data includes attributions on the broadcasting time zone of the broadcasting program corresponding to the program data and on the broadcasting program. The output controller obtains program data on a time zone after the current broadcasting time zone of the user desired channel, or program data at or after the current broadcasting time zone of another channel, and executes the display operation of the obtained program data together with the output of the user-desired program.

摘要： The broadcast receiver that incorporates an HDD as a recording medium and records programs on the recording medium, when recording a program on the recording medium, determines whether the program content is prohibited from being copied afterward. If it is determined that the program content is prohibited from being copied afterward, the receiver divides the program content into segments of data size falling, for example, within the range between 45 sec. and 60 sec., as time taken to play back the data at 1× speed, and stores the segments into a plurality of files, respectively. Even in case of accidental disconnection of the device power or network interface, it becomes possible to positively move content that was once recorded on a recording medium to another external device and recording medium under the conditions prescribed for copyright protection.
