摘要： A motion detector for determining image motion in a video signal develops an array of signals representing the difference between pixels from adjacent frames. The array of signals are grouped into subarrays, each of which include the signal corresponding to the pixel under examination for motion. Each of the subarrays are independently examined to determine if the magnitude of all of the pixel differences represented in a particular subarray exceed a predetermined threshold and/or the pixel differences have like polarity. If these conditions are met in any one of the subarrays, a motion signal is produced.

摘要： A TV receiver arranged to process video signals in PCM binary format includes a manual hue control circuit which operates on the PCM color mixture signals to effectively rotate the vector sum of the color mixture signals while maintaining the magnitude of the sum substantially constant. The magnitude of the received vector sum is calculated and the angle between the sum and one of the color mixture signal components is determined. Circuitry under user control increments or decrements the angle to rotate the vector sum. Corrected color mixture signals are then generated by multiplying the magnitude of the calculated vector sum by the sine and cosine of the incremented angle.

The base-emitter paths of current source transistors which establish the operating currents for the respective stages are connected in series across a common source of forward bias voltage. As biasing of the additional transistor is varied, the distribution of gain between the respective cascaded stages is altered substantially without disturbance of the overall gain of the multistage amplifier.

摘要： Brightness control apparatus in a video system employing a sample and hold circuit including a charge storage capacitor. The sample and hold circuit forms a closed control loop with a signal processing channel, and is keyed during periodic blanking intervals of the video signal to sample the magnitude of a reference voltage and a brightness representative blanking level of the video signal. The sample and hold circuit provides an output control signal indicative of the voltage difference between the reference voltage and the blanking level. The control signal is applied to the signal channel for translating the blanking level in a direction to minimize the voltage difference, so that a desired relationship between the reference voltage and the blanking level is preserved. In a preferred embodiment, a diode coupled between a sampling transistor and the capacitor assures that the capacitor is not charged improperly in the event the normal current conducting mode of the transistor is disrupted in the presence of large amplitude video signals, thereby preventing operation of the closed control loop from being disrupted.
