    • A control system for operating two magnetic tape loop bins in series with a continuous tape having an end of tape marker, including guides and drive rollers or capstans for guiding a tape from the first bin to the second bin and from the second bin past a magnetic head station to the first bin. End of tape sensors are positioned between the first and second bins and between the second and first bins to provide signals when tape markers pass the respective sensors. Each bin is provided with a tape drive motor and a motor control, with one motor being driven to provide about a constant tape tension and with the other motor being driven at a controlled speed which varies as a function of an error signal determined from the tape marker sensors.

    • An air cooled gas turbine engine includes a coolant flow control valve for regulating flow of compressor discharge air to a turbine rotor in accordance with compressor discharge pressure and the operating temperature of an air cooled turbine component of the engine and wherein the coolant flow control valve is associated with a seal having a fixed stator member connected to a compressor frame and a movable labyrinth seal rotor driven in response to gas turbine engine operation to seal between high and low pressure regions; the coolant flow control valve including a pressurizable chamber formed by the stator member and an annular member secured between the stator member and a movable leaf spring valve element that is subjected to compressor discharge pressure to close the valve element at engine cruise conditions and wherein means are provided responsive to temperature of the turbine component to bleed the pressurizable chamber to cause the bellows to bias the valve element into an open position thereby to modulate coolant flow.

    • A method and apparatus for an interactive video game to be displayed on a video display device. The gaming apparatus includes a game controller adapted to control the outcome of a game played on the gaming machine for display on the display device. A player interface is coupled to the gaming apparatus and is configured to input information data personally identifying a player operating the gaming machine. This personal identification data, such as a players name, birthdate, digitized facial pictures of player, etc., is then integrated into the game for integral display in the game outcome on the display device. Thus, player interaction is increased by customizing the game screen presentation to include their personal information.
