    • A stem wall is provided by manufacturing the stem wall and then transporting the stem wall to the house site for placement. Preferably, the stem wall is manufactured within an enclosed facility. Further, the stem wall is preferably manufactured at a location which does not require transporting the stem wall via public roadways to the house site. The stem wall can be manufactured by pouring concrete into a mold. Tension cables can be positioned within the mold and tightened after the concrete cures to provide increased tensile strength. The stem wall can be formed with one or more horizontal openings. Beams or pegs can be inserted through the horizontal openings to facilitate transportation of the stem wall to the house site. Before the stem wall is transported to the house site, a house can be built or placed on top of the stem wall.

    • A paint ball caddy for use with competitive paint ball guns for conveniently transporting paint balls for use as ammunition. The paint ball caddy has a body that accompanies the entire contents of a conventional paint ball carton, but which includes a pouring spout and a handle on the body that can be gripped to tip the paint ball caddy and pour a quantity of paint balls out of the spout in a controlled manner. The top of the paint ball caddy is provided with a large refill opening, which may be closed with a removable lid. Paint balls may be poured from the caddy into smaller, conventional paint ball canisters, or directly into the hopper of the magazine of a conventional paint ball gun.

    • Disclosed are embodiments of a structure that comprises a first device, having multiple FETs, and a second device, having at least one FET. Sections of a first portion of a semiconductor layer below the first device are doped and contacted to form back gates. A second portion of the semiconductor layer below the second device remains un-doped and un-contacted and, thus, functions as an insulator. Despite the performance degradation of the first device due to back gate capacitance, the back gates result in a net gain for devices such as, SRAM cells, which require precise Vt control. Contrarily, despite marginal Vt control in the second device due to the absence of back gates, the lack of capacitance loading and the added insulation result in a net gain for high performance devices such as, logic circuits.

    • A flow measurement calibration system and method is presented that actively regulates the pressure of the fluid being tested. A piston is slidably mounted to an inner wall of a chamber, which has a fluid inlet port for receiving an inflow of fluid into the interior of the chamber. The piston moves through the length of the chamber in response to fluid pressure exerted by the fluid flowing into the chamber. A piston actuator imparts motion to the piston, in response to command signals from a controller. The controller is responsive to the output of a pressure sensor, which senses the fluid pressure, and a position/velocity sensor, which senses the position and velocity of the piston. The controller commands the piston actuator to dynamically adjust the position and velocity of the piston so that the fluid pressure remains substantially constant at a desired setpoint.
