    • Method and arrangement in a base station for scheduling radio resources to a user equipment. The method and arrangement comprises receiving a scheduling request from the user equipment, and also a time offset value which value is associated with the moment of time when a frame of data was generated in the user equipment buffer. Also, the moment of time when the frame of data was generated in the user equipment buffer is determined, based on the received time offset value. Thereby the buffer state of the user equipment buffer is predicted by using the determined moment of time when the frame of data was generated in the user equipment buffer. Further, radio resources are granted to the user equipment, based on the predicted buffer state of the user equipment buffer. In addition, a method and arrangement in a user equipment for assisting the base station in scheduling radio resources are described.

    • It is presented methods and apparatuses for uplink resource utilization in a telecommunication system. More particularly, embodiments disclosed herein relate to a method performed in a user equipment (4), said user equipment (4) having data (Di) ready to transmit, the data pertaining to a traffic class (i). The method comprises establishing a connection with a radio network node (2) and receiving threshold parameter sets (Thi) from the radio network node (2). Each threshold parameter set (Thi) comprising at least a minimum size limit (Si) associated with respective traffic class (i). The threshold parameter sets (Thi) are used to determine if the amount of data that the user equipment (4) has ready to transmit is large enough to be transmitted or if it has been waiting long enough to be transmitted. If it is the UE (4) transmits the data to the radio network node (2). There are also presented a corresponding method performed in the network node (2) and a user equipment (4) and a network node (2) for performing the methods.

    • For some mobile communication services, a media stream such as video, will be combined with another media stream such as voice. For example, a user of a first terminal (101) is involved in a voice call over e.g. a circuit switched network (103) with a friend. During the voice call, the user of the first terminal decides to start transmitting another media stream, such as live streamed video, which may be transmitted over a packet switched network (104), to the friend's terminal (102). In such a case there is problem in that the two media streams voice and video may have quite different end-to-end time delays, i.e. the time from a part of the media stream is transmitted from the first user's terminal (101) until that part of the media stream is presented at the friend's terminal (102). Since comments from the first user will be presented to the user's friend earlier than the commented part of the video this will be quite annoying to the friend. To avoid this problem this invention presents the video to the user of the first terminal (101) delayed with a time dependent on the time difference between the end-to-end time delay of video and the end-to-end time delay of voice. Thereby, comments from the user of the first terminal (101) regarding the video will be received at the friend's terminal (102) approximately synchronized with the video.

    • A method and arrangement for controlling a balance between Packet Switched (PS) data, and Circuit Switched (CS) data in a cellular communication network. A network node is arranged in a cellular communication network to control communication of PS data between a first UE and a base station, and to control communication of CS data between a second UE and the base station. Both the first UE, the second UE and the base station are associated to the cellular communication network and are located in the cell. The network node comprises a controller 402 which is adapted to identify a risk of congested communication of data, and a transceiver 406 which is adapted to communicate PS data with the first base station, and to communicate CS data with the second base station. The controller is further adapted to request the second UE to change communication settings, and the controller is further adapted to reallocate transmission resources from the second UE, to the first UE.
