    • The present invention provides an ink jet recording head forming method which can be improved in a discharging characteristic. The method includes at least the step of forming an ink flow path pattern on a substrate by a photodecomposable positive type resist resin, the step of once executing each of the steps of applying, exposing and baking thereon a nozzle-constituting resin layer which is a negative type resist containing an optical cation polymerization starting agent and having an epoxy resin as a chief component with respect to each of an ink flow path pattern and an ink discharge port pattern, the step of collectively developing unexposed portions on the respective nozzle-constituting resin layers, and the step of removing the formed photodecomposable resin. Therefore, a minute projection is formed at a location separate from the substrate surface side of the cross section of the ink discharge port and thus, the deviation of the flying direction of an ink droplet due to the asymmetry of the inner shape of the ink flow path is minimized.

    • A image processing apparatus includes an image data memory for storing digital image data obtained by photoelectrically detecting light with a CCD to produce analog image data and digitizing the analog pixel data, a window memory for two-dimensionally mapping and storing the digital image data stored in the image data memory, and an abnormal pixel determining section for specifying each pixel in the digital image data stored in the window memory as a subject pixel, reading the density signal level of the subject pixel together with the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel, comparing the density signal level of the subject pixel with the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel and defining the subject pixel as an abnormal pixel when difference between the density signal level of the subject pixel and the density signal levels of pixels adjacent to the subject pixel is greater than a predetermined level. According to the thus constituted image processing apparatus, it is possible remove specific dot-like black pixels and white pixels generated in an image produced based on image data obtained by digitizing analog image data produced using a CCD without affecting the entire image, thereby correcting the image.

    • A printing apparatus comprises a movement unit which moves a carriage incorporating a print head along a carriage shaft arranged in a main scanning direction, and a conveyance unit which conveys a printing medium in a sub-scanning direction perpendicular to the main scanning direction. The printing apparatus stores image data. The image data is divided into a plurality of first image data in the main scanning direction and the sub-scanning direction, and is read out. Predetermined image processing is executed based on the first image data and first image data adjacent to the first image data in the sub-scanning direction. Second image data is extracted, based on information about a deflection of the carriage shaft in the sub-scanning direction, from the first image data for which the image processing has been executed. The extracted second image data is transferred to the print head.
