    • A coupling member has a first driven portion and an output shaft to be coupled to a lamp unit, and is rotatable in the horizontal direction about the shaft center of the output shaft. A driven member has a second driven portion and a follower portion, and is rotatable relative to the coupling member. An acting portion is engaged with the follower portion. A first driving unit is engaged with the first driven portion to rotate the coupling member relative to the driven member. A second driving unit is engaged with the second driven portion to rotate the driven member relative to the coupling member. When the second driving unit rotates the driven member, the acting portion engaged with the follower portion causes the rotation center to move, and the coupling member is moved together with the driven member.

    • A headlamp is provided with a lamp unit provided in a lamp housing formed by a lamp body and a transparent cover for covering a front side of the lamp body. The lamp unit is supported in the lamp housing in a suspending state in such a condition that the lamp unit can be swung in vertical and horizontal directions. An output shaft coupled to a lower end of the lamp unit can be rotated around its axis and slide in a direction perpendicular to the axis. A rotation of the output shaft around its axis is transmitted to the lamp unit. By a movement of the output shaft in the direction perpendicular to the axis, a rotation between the output shaft and the lamp unit causes.

    • A vehicle lamp 10 is provided with a lamp unit 30 which applies beams of the desired patterns ahead, and a double axis actuator 50 having a first drive mode in which the lamp unit is rotated in one of two planes that are orthogonal to each other and a second drive mode in which the lamp unit is rotated in the other of the two planes. The double axis actuator is provided with a single output part 540 which rotates the lamp unit in the two planes, and a drive part (including a drive source 550 and a movable part 561) which drives the output part. The double axis actuator can rotate the lamp unit in the each plane regardless of the rotational positions along the above two planes.

    • A safety device for accurately preventing the catching of a hand or neck of a passenger of a vehicle between a windowpane and a window sash uses a potentiosensor 20 for detecting the rotational angular position of an output shaft adapted to rotate at a slower speed by reducing the speed of a rotating shaft of a driving motor 9 for opening and closing a windowpane of a vehicle with a speed reducing mechanism 10. This potentiosensor 20 comprises a resistance track plate 21 on which circular resistance track 25a and conductor tracks 25b, 25c are formed, and a rotating plate 23 having conductive brushes 24a, 24b adapted to slide over the resistance track plate 21. The windowpane position is detected based on a resistance value outputted when the conductive brushes 24a, 24b are rotationally moved on the resistance track 25a in response to the rotating position of the rotating plate 23. The resistance track 25a is supplied with a higher voltage and a lower voltage at diametrically opposite positions, respectively, and the conductive brushes 24a, 24b are constructed so as to output voltages which are divided at a rotating angle of 180 degrees. This enables not only the detection of the windowpane with high accuracy but also the miniaturization of a power window apparatus and simplification of the construction of a circuit thereof.

    • A power window apparatus for detecting accidental pinching in a power window in accordance with the opened/closed position of the window and a state of rotation of a motor which is structured to improve the accuracy of the operation of a position sensor for detecting a safety-control suspension region for the window. A pair of contacts are disposed on the side surface of a main gear which is rotated by an output shaft of a motor for opening/closing a window. A conductive film opposite to the contacts is provided for a sub-gear engaged to the main gear through an interlocking gear and arranged to be rotated at different speed from that of the main gear. When the relative rotational operation between the main gear and the sub-gear causes the output shaft of the motor to reach a predetermined amount of rotation, so that the window has moved to a predetermined opened/closed position, the contacts and the conductive film are brought into contact with one another so that an electric signal is output. Therefore, the safety-control suspension region can be detected at an accuracy of one-to-one correspondence to the amount of movement of the window.
