A method for producing an azomethine dye, which method comprises using a compound of the formula (I): wherein E is an aryl, heterocyclic, or —C(═O)W group, in which W is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic group, Z is an aryl or heterocyclic group, and X and Y each independently are ═O, ═S or ═N—R, in which R is a substituent, with the proviso that when E is an aryl or heterocyclic group, X and Y each are ═O, and that when E is a —C(═O)W group, Z is a substituted aryl group.

摘要： A color image-forming method wherein a cyan dye image having an excellent hue and less fading due to light and humidity can be obtained and the discharge amount of a processing solution can be reduced is disclosed, which comprises subjecting a silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a support, having provided thereon a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye-forming coupler, a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye-forming coupler, a light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye-forming coupler, and a non-light-sensitive hydrophilic colloid layer, to an exposure and then to a color development with a color developing solution, wherein the above silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material contains at least one scarcely water soluble epoxy compound having at least one group represented by Formula (AO) in at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers and non-light-sensitive hydrophilic colloid layer and at least one pyrroloazole type cyan coupler represented by Formula (Ia) in the above silver halide emulsion layer containing the cyan dye-forming coupler; and the light-sensitive material is processed so that a replenishing amount of the color developing solution becomes 20 ml or more and 120 ml or less per m.sup.2 of the light-sensitive material.

摘要： The present invention provides a black and white photothermographic material having, on at least one side of a support, an image forming layer including at least a photosensitive silver halide, a silver salt of a fatty acid, a reducing agent, and a binder, wherein the black and white photothermographic material includes a compound represented by formula (1) as the reducing agent, a coupler which reacts with an oxidation product of the compound represented by formula (1) to form a dye, and a compound which reacts with an oxidation product of the compound represented by formula (1) to form a product that has substantially no absorption in the visible light region: wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent; and R5 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group, or a heterocyclic group. An image forming method using the black and white photothermographic material is also provided.

摘要： Disclosed is a silver halide color photographic material which contains a particular epoxy compound having slight solubility in water, an acylacetamide type yellow dye forming coupler the acyl group of which is a cycloalkane type and a pyrazolotriazole type magenta dye forming coupler which contains specified substituents and splitting-off group to produce color images of high keeping quality, especially to produce a yellow dye image with excellent hue and reduced discoloration upon long-range storage in the dark, and, what is more, to inhibit magenta color stain from generating in the yellow dye image.
