摘要： A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel having a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, plural pixel electrodes arranged in a matrix on a second substrate, a counter electrode provided on one of first substrate and the second substrate and plural switching elements connected to the respective plural pixel electrodes, a display drive control unit for driving the liquid crystal disposed between each of the pixel electrodes and the counter electrode, a lighting unit having LEDs emitting light of respective red, green and blue colors, and a lighting device control unit for making each LED of color perform time-division light emission in synchronization with the switching of each of the switching elements.

摘要： Before starting the regular display in a liquid crystal display device of the bend alignment type, it is necessary to transition all the pixel regions in the entire display portion uniformly from splay alignment into bend alignment. However, conventionally, when applying a simple ac voltage, the transition sometimes does not take place, and when it does take place, the transition time is very long, and display defects due to alignment defects tend to occur.In the method for driving a liquid crystal display device with OCB cells according to the present invention, a step of applying between an electrode 22 and a pixel electrode 23 an ac voltage superimposed with a bias voltage, and a step of applying zero voltage or a low voltage to the substrates are repeated in alternation preceding the begin of the regular display operation and the regular display operation is carried out after all pixels have transitioned into bend alignment.

摘要： A brush holding apparatus is mounted to an inner wall surface of a rear bracket and a cap mounted to a head portion of a brush holder portion is exposed through an opening in the rear bracket. Brushes are housed inside brush insertion apertures of the brush holder portion and are placed in elastic contact with slip rings by springs. An abrasion detection terminal is insert molded into the brush holder portion, a contact thereof projecting inside one of the brush insertion apertures and coming into contact with the corresponding spring when the brushes are abraded by a predetermined amount.

摘要： An iron core of a rotating-electric machine and a manufacturing method for the same permit a uniform curvature to be easily obtained over an entire circumference of the iron core. The iron core has laminated magnetic plate strips, a cylindrical core proximal portion, a plurality of teeth projecting in a substantially radial direction from the core proximal portion, and slots for accommodating a winding that are located between the teeth adjacent to each other. The iron core is fabricated by curving both end portions of a substantially hexahedral laminate so that the core proximal portion obtains a predetermined curvature, forming the entire laminate into a cylindrical shape by wrapping it around a cylindrical core member so that distal ends of the teeth project from the core proximal portion, and joining both end portions of the laminate.

The stator coils are disposed such that two sets of three-phase coils have a phase difference from each other, and center-to-center intervals of circumferential gaps of adjoining slot openings are set to be nonuniform. Claw-shaped magnetic poles of the rotor are formed such that at least a narrow tooth of teeth formed between the slots of the opposing stator is positioned to overlap two of the claw-shaped magnetic poles that are adjacent in a direction of rotation of the rotor and have opposite polarities.
