    • PURPOSE:To save labor at data change and, at the same time, make it possible to fully utilize the function of a printer by a method wherein the data change is made possible on printer side. CONSTITUTION:Data created by a host computer 1 is stored in a first buffer memory 24. When change contents are inputted from a function part 15, data are changed at a data changing means 26 consisting of a CPU and a ROM and then stored in a second buffer memory 25. The changed data read out of the second buffer memory 25 is printed out at a printing part 23. Since data can be changed on printer 2 side at the printer 2 concerned, no operation of the host computer is necessary at data change, resulting in saving of labor. Further, since the data fed from the host computer 1 can be changed into the data utilizing color function, for example, of the printer 2, the full utilization of the function of the printer 2 is possible.
