    • PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a resistor element by specifying the average value of the diameters in axial direction of a lead of the crystal gains on the surface of the lead to a specified value or less. CONSTITUTION:This is a resistor element 10 in which a metallic resistor 18 is formed around the outer side face of a tubular electric insulator 12, and the surface of the metallic resistor 18 is covered with a protective layer 19, and leads 14 are inserted and fixed, respectively, in both ends of the tubular electric insulator 12, and the metallic resistor 18 is electrically connected to the leads 14, respectively. And, the average values of the diameters in axial direction 4 of a lead of the crystal grains on the surface 1 of this lead is 10mum or under, or the maximum value of the grain diameters is 10mum or under. Furthermore, the surface of the lead 14 is platinum or alloy containing platinum. Moreover, this is a thermosensitive flow meter which measures the flow of the fluid, based on the resistance change by the temperature of this resistor element. Hereby, the durability of the resistor element and the thermosensitive flow meter using this as a detection element can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a noble metal film at high temperature by substantially preventing at least one ingredient contained in a core material from diffusing to the outside surface of the noble metal. CONSTITUTION:A cable sheath with noble metal is arranged so as not to diffuse at least one ingredient contained in the core material 2 to the outside surface 4 f a noble metal film 3. Moreover, the core material 2 containing iron group metal such as nickel or the like is arranged so as not to diffuse at least one ingredient of these iron group metals to the outside surface 4 of the noble metal film 3. Furthermore, as the criteria of restraining diffusion, it is arranged so that the concentration of ingredients of the core material at the middle point 6 between the outside surface 4 and the inside surface 5 of the noble metal film 3 or the point 6 half the thickness of the noble metal film 3 may be 15% or under of the concentration of the ingredient within the core material 2. As the noble metal film 3, platinum, rhodium, silver, palladium, iridium, gold, or alloy of them is used. Hereby, the stability at high temperature and durability can be improved by preventing the decoloration of the noble metal film or the generation of the exfoliation.
