摘要： A code disk for a high-resolution encoder that can detect an absolute position and a method for manufacturing a mold to produce the code disk are provided. The code disk is formed by using transparent substrate. The code disk includes a plurality of tracks provided on the transparent substrate and an area provided between the plurality of tracks. Each surface of the plurality of tracks has a different pattern. A level of the area is different from that of the each surface of the plurality of tracks. The method for manufacturing the mold includes steps of processing a plurality of tracks with a flat surface on material; processing an area with a level different from that of each surface, between the plurality of tracks; forming different patterns on the each surface; plating the first material; and peeling plating from the first material to obtain a mold.

The media are adapted for high speed rotation with the benefits of a high output, high C/N, and low noise level. When a protective substrate of glass is attached to the polyolefin substrate such that the recording layer is inside, there is obtained a light-weight rigid disk which experiences minimal axial runouts and hence, minimal focusing errors during high rotational speed operation.

The disk has a diameter of at least 200 mm, and is rotated at 1,800 rpm or higher during recording/reproducing operation. Despite a larger diameter, the disk experiences minimized occurrence of double refraction during high speed rotation, ensuring high outputs with a high C/N and a low noise level.

摘要： An oil level sensor for detecting an oil level is arranged in an engine oil pan. The oil level sensor includes a mounting section and a sensing section. An air hole is formed at an upper end of a cover member of the sensing section. The air hole is surrounded by a tubular portion of a shield member attached to a baffle plate of the oil pan. Therefore, any splashed engine oil in the oil pan is restricted from entering the cover member of the sensing section through the air hole. Also, a clearance (α) for venting air is formed between the tubular portion and the baffle plate.
